We do the artificial but I love real. My DH does not. We did have a real tree a couple of times in our marriage but one of those times it had a crooked trunk. It kept falling over and ultimately we had to rig it to stand with a rope and our curtain rod. After that year
he said no more.
I love the smell of a real tree.

Yeah it's a tough call. I think that exchanges are always a hard thing especially around the holidays. What if you made a point to make a special price limit or if the gifts were from this person always a book? It's educational plus it takes the pressure off "what am I gonna get this year?" especially if the kids always know that
birthday presents from this person are always a book. Then ...

DH has the IPhone for work. He loves the phone; but hates AT&T. He is always getting dropped calls or no coverage. I have Verizon and have no problems. As much as I would love to have the IPhone, I will not switch to AT&T. My sister and her husband have the IPhone and have the same problems (they live in RI).

Oh how terrible, here is some for your sister, your mom and you. Try not to worry too much you need to focus on your exams at this time, and she is in
good hands at the hospital.

I got my DD her hamster (for her birthday ) for the
retail price of 9.99 at ToysRUS. Of course I waited in line for 3 hours to get just one of 100 being offered. She just loves it . Your right, your DS would not like it. It is a girly thing.
For those who buy it at inflated prices, I guess it is worth it to them. The price is just as high as you are willing to bid and pay.

Lisa, I'm wondering the same thing because I just submitted my application for nursing school at the
University of Colorado. Prayers for discernment coming your way.

Wow, that sounds excruciating and so hard on him, and on the whole family. And then on top of that, his wife's issues. I do remember your family backstory. I hope things get better fast for everyone involved, and especially that your dad recovers his health and feels better. Prayers and
pixie dust headed your way.
