P.S. Who sourced / supplied product photos, prepped them for the web, populated the online product database and sorted out the product IDs, etc ?

You can register a domain with one provider, and have it point to a hosting package with another provider. I would say a large percentage of people do this.

UML, and an awful ot of topics taught in college are often incredibly useless to you when you first learn them. When you're writing small-medium programs, and it's only a one-man team, and you can actually keep the whole thing in your brain, it's pretty much an academic excercise. However, many of these things will come back to you in a few years, and will be incredibly useful when working on larger teams, or largers projects,...

Wesite Design Course -Cork?...

Hi Aoife, by all means do a course as an introduction, but I'm afraid it won't be sufficient for a job in the industry. You'll have to self study almost all of the relevant skills. Web design education is dire, outdated and useless for an actual position.

I agree with the above comments. It all comes down to the budget. I've used Stock Images before (quite often actually) but do always edit the images first to give it a "unique" look.

You're better off changing the layout of your site to mimic the layout in the tutorial p posted rather than sticking with the absolute positioning method you are currently using.

Those prices are a bit over priced. They are charging you that amt due to the amt of hard work they have put into it to develop something like that. You have an option of going with someone who will design one from scratch and charge less than what they are offering. Alot of companies are able to do this but it will take time to develop....and they may not be able to give you a price until ...

Depends on your project and who your stakeholders are. UML can be overkill for many projects and so what is more common place is that certain subsets of UML (such as use cases, interaction diagrams, etc) will often be used. In it's most formal sense, UML is typically only used in it's entirety in critical systems - where bugs are really not an option. It is important in so far as in a ...

There are quite a few criteria that need to be met to secure a .ie domain. It should be very easy to transfer a domain once you have ownership.

That's what padding property is for - it gives you padding around the text but still within the div.

Check the website you got the theme off, they'll usually give terms of use. Most allow commercial usage, but might require you to leave the footer intact or something like that. There's no legal issues using Joomla and charging -- indeed some people base their entire web design business on selling Joomla or Drupal-based sites with little modification ! (this post does not represent legal ...

I'm not sure of the nature of the list, so its hard to be specific. Chances are there is a jQuery feature/plugin to do what you want. Split them into divs of logical groupings, with headings. Use jQuery to show/hide div when heading is clicked?
