UPCOMING COMPETITIONS

Only asked the same question a week or two ago. Mine was in relation to centrefire and .22 rifles. I keep forgetting that not everyone has gotten their licenses yet. So turnout would be poor to non existant. Just have to keep practising and wait till next year i suppose.

I'm happy with my Thune jacket - it fits me well, is comfortable to wear and I've not had a problem with it passing equipment control. I had a word with some of the GB, Danish and IOM shooters re their jackets and equipment control, and the only thing which arose was that one shooter had to cut out of some of the leather on the inside of his jacket along the button hole panel to adhere to recent rule changes (i.e. there are now...

UPCOMING COMPETITIONS

Might not a enough people with licenses yet to be advertising open competitions. For Centrefire Pistol I would doubt if there are a dozen licenses in the entire country at the moment. May not be enough to pay for a turkey. For Smallbore Pistol - there are more about but the majority are also centrefire pistol holders and many have got neither back. You planning on giving the Mrs. Shooting medals again this year and are afraid you might...

I've the AHG one and find it excellent. That said, I don't have much to compare it to, apart from a looong succession of club jackets that never fitted me...
From the point of view of fit, mine was measured by a certain reputable retailer from Omagh who was very kind and drove to Portadown to meet me for measurement and also for a fitting when it arrived. Nothing but good things to say about...

Just to add, we are planning on running a 'fun final' which will consist of the top 10 people who are present after the last detail. Scores will be taken from your first 40 shots.
These have been run in the past and are really good fun with a lot of pressure, banter and a great training experience all being rolled into one!

Good grief.
Calm the heck down.
I merged the earlier thread in the main shooting forum with your thread in the target shooting forum for two reasons:
1) It's tidier that way, and people only have to remember one place to go to in order to get the latest news; and
2) If you read the forum, you'd spot the note that says absolutely no politics in the target shooting forum (that stuff goes ...

With regard to the ammo, I've used both. Both are fantastic ammo. My Anschutz shoots both very well. I've found the Centre-X probably a bit better though, had one batch that shot spectacularly well, as good as anything out there. Would cheerfully recommend it as being worth trying.
