True true. In fact, now that you mentioned it, there's no socket by the door at all - it's just two wires sticking up above the skirting!! I had it connected to a 3m long cable to the other end of the hall, where I have a tiny box, splitter etc and the modem is right there with meter long cable that came with the modem. After speaking to some sound Vodafone customer support people this morning, I rang in the evening from home and got...

I suppose I'll start off so.. Just some photos I already had on my PC for a long time; Scotch Hall at night (Summer 2009) Ramparts With Snow (January 2010) Bridge at the bottom of the Grove Hill at Night with Fog (Summer 2009) (What's the name of that bridge by the way? It's the one just off Narrow West Street... I know it's name, but can't think of it!)

Suggestions??
Going out for dinner on Sat night about 6:00 as we've a night out afterwards. What early birds are on offer at the min???
I know about Crowne Plaza which was lovely but was there last week?
Any other suggestions. Any that I see online seem be for midweek only. Don't want to be spending a small fortune as we're out on the town afterwards.

Hey all,
Just after been mooching through the forum and seen a few different photographs on here. From people actually purposely photographing places for photography reasons, to photographing certain things for other reasons (Biggins photographing closed shops for example and Geezer1000 photographing different areas around Louth).
How about a Drogheda photography thread?

A few weeks ago, we had a small good news to celebrate and thought we would check out the new Indian restaurant in Bryanstown Manor.
It was mid-week, rang around 2pm to booked table for 8:30pm, which was 'no problem' and the girl on phone was pleasant to deal with.
Strolled in around 8:28pm (we live nearby ), and the place looks funky. Not your traditional dark, candle-lit Indian ...

Well, I am going to suggest 'Currys'. But in Newry!
I bought a whole bunch of stuff from there over the years, and always found them helpful and professional. They come across very polite and are very helpful with your queries and sees it thru to loading into the boot of the car.

Halifax closure is coming soon to West St.
Anyone got an account there better get their money out now or later it might be a bigger pain to recuperate.
News story HERE .
That will make it up to 20+ buildings closed now in West St alone.

Similar thread for Drawda so I thought, why not one for Dundalk!!
Have been to Riva, Clanbrassil St, a couple of times now, for the evening menu.
As there doesn't seem to be many places for decent pub food in the town and I'm not a big wine fan, it was great fo find somewhere with a selection of bottled beer and Heineken on draught.

Where you buying your petrol at the moment,
I work in Dublin, and always bought my petrol in Drogheda, but for some strange reason, i can buy it cheaper in Dundalk at the moment.
Best price i can find is the newry road, 118 per litre.
If i find anywhere else cheaper, i will post.

That you feel would make it a better place to dwell in?
I can hear already the bitter melody and lyrics of ''lower prices'' but on a more serious note, what would you bring to Dundalk or what is it you feel Dundalk is missing as a town?
Such a thread could die quickly seeing as in other threads of the forum we are discussing the sad loss of many shops/jobs here in Dundalk which would hardly...

I'm looking for a house to rent in Co. Louth.
Preferably what I'm after is something 2 bedroomed, preferably out of town with a view to a long term lease.
I'd consider an unfurnished or semi-furnished house as I've furnishings of my own...
If anyone can offer anything as above then don't hesitate to drop me a pm.
