I'm throwing the floor open here to other boardsies to see, after the celtic tiger the big development era. We have a tram system, a convention centre etc. but is there anything that they missed? What business, enterprise or venue would you like to see on our streets? you may have seen it on your travels in another city or place. (now giving that this is AH, please do not answer ...

The guy's name is Eamonn MacThomais. The series is called 'Dublin a personal view'. I'm not sure it's commercially available.

call your breakdown number and they'll have a lad out in a recovery vehicle to take a look at it for you. The call out will be free for you and you'll only pay if it needs to go to a garage. you then pay for the repairs by the garage but if it's just a jump start the recovery guy will get you going there and then free of charge.

I saw a sign last week saying it was allowed during (I think) the morning rush hour (6-10) but was pedestrianized after that.

one on a building on Parnell Street, you see it as you walk down Nth Great George's Street. I think it's above the post office now, it's for a shoe and boot company. A couple of brick ones along Pearse Street too if memory serves. And Nassau Street near Lincoln Gate.

I have lived in Smithfield Market for just a year and a half so I have only had to endure the ice rink last year. I hate it, doesn't belong in a residential area. Attracts huge amounts of undesirables to the area. It's an eye sore, and in my opinion the noise is worse at night time, all through the night the generators run to keep the ice from melting. The council won't do anything about it...

there is little cafe just on Talbot Street - not sure of name but 5 min walk from O connell st - and it on right hand side as you go down - had lovely brekkie in there one sat mrn -very reasonalbe to!!

my mum has gone for the early bird in the westin a couple of times recently enough and can't rate it highly enough... great menu, staff that don't rush you and plenty of space between tables that you can relax and chat... i do believe they have steak on it also and it's on a saturday too....
