Cool, thanks for the kind words guys, I like that one too, but I wasn't sure if it'd get much interest... here's the wheel-flow-fix and a few more variations in the text colour.

em, im pretty sure after effects is used for video editing. Its as it says on the tin... backwards... its used for after the project to add effects. Marketing and design are two different departments. If you want to focus on design tho, id recommend you learn to use illustrator. Its very good for getting a clean design out. Then learn how to use photoshop to make that design work better. Then ...

Thanks RopeDrink, RopeDrink has pretty much covered the basis of things. We intend to organise a charity drive around Ireland over 3 days sometime over the next summer. Were just a bunch of lads and lassies who like cars, all sorts of cars, no particular niche or type of car. We want to get a nice logo that grabs people attention and something they will remember and associate ...

It depends, purely on interest. It's not something that'd lure more people in to partake in the DA&D Forum and, as it stands, DA&D has since quietened down considerably in comparison to the past - As such, you could start such a thing to test the water but if there's very little interest then you'd pretty much be picking the winners from the same handful of people each week with very few ...

Though if anyone wants to give us a basic design on a shirt that works just as well we'd be delighted with that too (must have black background, can't use too much orange or white).

Hi all, I'm doing a header for a site I'm designing and I would prefer to have a transparent background on it but I don't fancy losing quality by saving it as a .GIF or .PNG etc. Question is is it possible to do this but maintain the quality? AFAIK .jpg & bitmap won't allow transparent bg's. FWIW I'm using Photoshop & Dreamweaver both CS3. Thanks in advance, any help appreciated.
