Champagne doesn't come cheap, Frenchies up the price when some extra regions and brewers become 'Champagne'.

Having a cocktail party tomorow night and can't for the life of me figure out where to buy mint in bulk for the mojitos.... Any ideas? The supermarkets only sell them in tiny amounts, and will cost an arm an a leg to buy in small amounts Thanks!

Any suggestions of where to buy good value good wine. I'm not a big fan of the cheap supermarket wines, usually buy in wine specialist shops at around the 10-15 euro a bottle pricemark (have found anything much cheaper is usually not very nice). Short of travelling to france regularly is there another way of cutting down on the spend (that doesn't include giving it up!). Is it much ...

No spirits will have yeast, unless it is some oddball stuff that mixes it back in. No need for triple distillation, just one distillation will get rid of all solids & yeast. Not all vodka is triple distilled anyway, if you use a fractionating still it goes past once but can be the equivalent of 20 distillations/plates if done right. I also would have thought the amount of yeast in clear ...

Hi, I'm looking for a particular type of wine that I had in Ely wine bar in Dublin. It's called Delta Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Marlborough. It's a great wine, but haven't been able to find it in any off-licences. Thanks, B.

I've gotten some optics from www.bargizmos.co.uk , reasonable prices and a very good selection, just make sure you get the Irish 35.5ml and not the English 25.5ml.

At the Great British Beer festival recently, I was looking through the brewery memorabilia shop, when I came across vintage bottles of beer for sale. Just for the novelty, I bought a bottle of beer from 1978, made by Youngs to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee. The bottle is in fine condition. No breakage of the seal. Beer still in it. I've no idea if it's cask conditioned or not....

A neighbour of mine is watching my house while I'm on holiday. I want to get him a good bottle of Gin at the duty free. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

As the title says. I usually drink cider on a night out but I'm getting sick of it and so is my stomach. I enjoy whiskey also but my pockets don't and since I'm a poor student it's not the most viable substitute. I'm looking for something along the lines of an easy going lager to get my taste buds accustomed to it. I've tried a few different lagers and I wasn't too impressed with the...

And itÂ’s this; Budweiser (by which I mean the real Budweiser, the beer which has been sold under that brand by Anheuser-Busch since 1876) is really quite a good beer. http://crookedtimber.org/2007/05/10/...ded-footnot es/ This is probably verging on ...

The Famous Grouse is probably the best or most drinkable Scotch imo, but theres another one I tried before called White and Mackay I think which was also quite a good Scotch.
