Z4M: Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor -...

It fits I sort of knew it would before I started today as I spoke to Turner Motorsports and they said they sell the 658/659's with their kits for the e46 M3 and Z4Ms. They also said I should relocate the EGT to just before the secondary cats and the O2s to after just like the euro setup as that keeps it emissions compliant and the DME happy. I will post up a step by step later, but here are the fitment pictures. Not great, but you get...

wow, that is really expensive just to fix a coolant leak. I have heard people raving about a Full Cooling System Rebuild Kit for $400. I think i will try to DIY. Unfortunately, I don't have an affordable mechanic i can trust. From my personal experiences, the Houston area is suffering as far as good BMW Mechanics are concerned....do you know what the hourly rate of that shop was? I'm 20 min North of Missouri City.

Z4 M Coupe - dealer overfilled
Published (2009-11-27 19:56:00)
Same thing happened to me last time. I filled out the survey giving poor ratings, and they emailed promptly apologizing. They *do* read them. Next time, just be very firm and explicit with the SA to fill it to proper specs, citing your previous experience. That should do it, unless they're doing it on purpose, which I doubt. Going to another dealer won't necessarily cure Incompetence Syndrome, which is quite contagious among dealers.

I wouldn't put hypoid gear oil in your transmission; stick with either ATF or MTF-LT2.
This is the sticker from a 2.8 Rdstr I recently did shift pins and a fluid change on.

You sure it's just the brakes. Also the 1:58 was done in May when the weather was much warmer. Your top speed before almost every braking zone is higher in the faster lap. Also you were almost almost 10mph turn 1 and 2 .
I think you are just driving better.
Does the car have the same tires in both videos?
That's a good lap time.
Can you do a graph of speed vs time of ...

I just had a leaked fixed. It was where the fan sensor plugs into the lower radiator hose. Ended up having to change both. This is located on the middle left between the engine and the radiator. You will see it plugged into the lower hose, up by the thermistat. There will be wires coming out of it. I rubbed my hand underneath the fitting and found the leak. My mechanic also checked the radiator...

You can bend the headliner a bit to get around those, as I recall.

Just stumbled across this searching for "headlight switch".. does anyone know if this will work? My dimmer rheostat is bad and the dealer has a replacement on order for me under warranty, but if this works, I'd find a euroswitch someplace.
On a related note - how is the switch removed from the dash? I'm afraid they'll bugger up the carbon leather trim.

i think it's just a tough market. lot of people scared for their jobs. holiday season means many people are already overstretched on their budgets. z4 isn't really a "necessity" car.
i think your price is good. just wait it out.
try craigslist, consider ebay, or even your paper classifieds too.

Bung is standard, its an EGT bung (just like an O2 bung is standard).
If you are asking to find out where to put it in euro headers, anywhere after the merge collector is fine, closer up the better.

I think there was one at the last two Homecoming's that I attended in 07 and 08. The owner had also applied a white star to the side to make it look like an Army vehicle

Is that wheel HP or engine HP, and what correction factors were applied if it was obtained on a chassis dyno?
