Personally, the area around the Hauptbahnhof is not where I would want to be.
There are so many great hotels that have been reviewed here and in Executive Road Warrior - there are four in-depth hotel reviews (covering all price ranges) here .

I don't know about sending it over to Harms, but during our last ED the delivery specialist said we could park it at the Welt as long as we were in Munich. I'm guessing there would be a limit eventually, but we were there 2 nights after delivery and it stayed there both nights.
