Is the controlpanel ok?The right side knob seems not to function.I would say that if the left side is working then it can only be the the knob on the panel.Replace it and then it might work? With the rear vents you mean the vents in the centre console? From there you only get cold air never heated air.The vents for the rear side heated air are under the seats Alex

They have an aftermarket starter that's a few dollars more, it's a little slimmer, and I'm sure a little heavier duty. The starter is on the top of the bell housing under the intake on the driver's side. Weird. Never seen one on the topside before.

Found the info on it here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...rm-Install.htm However, here is the part that I needed. Shown here is the BMW factory keyless alarm unit installed on cars up through August 1995. This controller works with the three-button remote shown in the left inset photo. The alarm controller is programmed to work with a specific remote by synchronizing the small chip in the remote to the alarm unit. Open up the alarm...

I know that's right. The weather that is. We are having a "Sissy" snow storm here now. As for the lip on the Rondell's, I have not taken a ruler to it but it is about 4 inches rear and 3 in the front. Matt black is nice. It looks good on the E34.

what type of ATF did you use, and was the used ATF duty. If so then I would recommend draining the ATF several times to get all the old ATF out. Things to check: -recommended ATF should be used -recommended ATF qty and proper refilling procedure should be followed -check for leaks after two days or so

Sounds like a problem with the MAF. Usually it will idle just fine, but when it is under load, the engine doesn't know how much air is coming in so starts to go crazy. The meter for the M30 (since it uses a mechanical version) may be jammed/stuck. Could also be a throttle position switch. Something along these lines... That's my best guess?

I am one of those who is against changing the color of the car. If we are being perfectly honest, to do a good job, you need to completely gut the car, and start there. Anything less to me just doesn't cut it for a color change being able to see mismatched colors. Honestly, I think your color combination is one of the sexier colors when the windows have a nice tint on them. Absolutely love ...

1) Remove cooling fan (special tools helps A LOT here). If you do not have special tools, you can get away by using a 32mm crescent wrench and something (long screwdriver...) to wedge the pulley from moving and the wrench to turn the fan nut off. Remember, the nut is reverse threaded, so lefty=tighty, righty=loosey! *2) Now I can't remember if the AC belt is in front or behind the other one,...

Whatever the cause of the leak, you should get it fixed immediately. If fluid is leaking from the reservoir or master cylinder, there should be obvious signs of leakage in the areas below those items. Remove the wheels and check the Flexible Brake hoses and calipers for signs of leakage. Beyond that, get underneath the car and inspect the brake lines. If fluid is getting out, there is ...

It would be your front door lock actuator. It is a solenoid that when it goes bad it just freezes in whatever position it is in. Best to buy used from someone parting out an e34, but make sure it is a pre-1993 model year, they changed the design of it then. The dealership will charge $100+ for that piece. I've got one left, but I need to replace mine so I'm going to have to keep it for ...

turning over is when the engine spins...... so when you turn the key to start position, nothing happens ?? (the starter does nothing)? it could be the starter, or a host of other things. your best bet is to get a bently manual, it has very good diagnostic steps in it. does it click when you hit the key ?

Hope you got it for cheap, and prepared to drop some money in it very quickly. I would first start with the cheap methods first; bleed the system, replace temp sensor if needed, and run a diagnostic to see why the trans program is coming up. These cars have a very fragile cooling system, so if the water pump, radiator, thermostat, thermostat housing, accessory belts, and coolant hoses haven't ...

I don't believe the water or oil passages line up either as well as being physically a different size. Instead of looking for just the head, maybe look for a complete motor. I know it is more than you are asking for, but I know at least here in the states the whole longblock often goes for not much more than just the head alone, and God knows the M30 is a plentiful motor. Try eBay as ...

Is the car low on coolant? I have had problems with the o-ring not setting from the level sensor, and leaking coolant from it. I have also had problems with the sensor itself breaking quite easily. It is just two TINY pieces of plastic that hold the float from floating right off. If one of those pieces of plastic breaks, the float doesn't sit correctly and throws that code. That or ...

They should be fine. http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=sub mit Enter the stock tire sise at the top and enter the size you are going to in the bottom window and it will give you a comparison of the two tires . Your 195s are within three percent. That is exeptable.

Well the problem is that being alcohol, it will just eat away at anything rubber, which unfortunately a lot of cars have a lot of. Hopefully if this goes through, we will start seeing conversion kits with different types of seals to make cars Ethanol friendly. We see the problems with Ethanol already in the current lineup with the 335/535i blowing through fuel pumps because of this exact ...
