Change "member" to...

I think Marius- is asking for something more along the line of making the Member text more usable. That title doesn't really say anything about where that link is going to take you. So, if it were 'info' clicking it would make more sense since you are actually getting info about that member. Not everyone would have the title Member: some would be moderator or keymaster.

You can't see this? I see it just fine on my end. I can't find a way to make the pictures any bigger. http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww222/JazzyWazzy_2009/Picture2-1.png http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww222/JazzyWazzy_2009/Picture1-1.png

@hatter Changing $empty_format = ''"; to $empty_format = ''/"; make's it work. MANY, MANY thanks. Anyway of me being able to make this work now without having to modify the core bbPress code? My concern is that I want to be able to upgrade bbPress in the future without having to remember I made this modification to the core function.

Blank page while installing
Published (2009-11-28 00:00:00)
I have php 5.0.4 and mysql 4.1.20 so apparently this is not the reason why the installation is freezing. Just to clarify i put the dbname/user/password when the installation process asked it to me. After that the installation process told me that it couldn't create the bb-config.php file then i made a copy of the config file, then created manually the bb-config.php and pasted the content of bb-config-sample.php plus the credentials....

Integration
Published (2009-11-30 00:00:00)
I have integrated my test forum with wordpress. Both have seperate databases and are on the same host server but bbpress is in a sub-directory, Wp is in the root. Wordpress has 4 members bbpress has 300, afterwords bbpress has only 4 members, why is that, it seems like instead of integration wordpress details have overwritten bbpress...any one able to help

being a Win Server the permissions are 755 IIRC. As I said if it is a single file plugin and dropped in the my-plugins folder there is no problem activating them the problem only occurs when it is a plugin in a self-contained folder dropped into the my-plugins folder (see screencap http://screencast.com/t/OTNiZGNlND )

In a previous question regarding problems with getting plugins to play nice ( http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/plugins-in-my-plugins-not-installing ) you replied (which is strangely missing from the thread at this point) with a link to a piece of patching code. Unfortunately with your reply going AWOL the link is missing now so is there any chance you can point me to it again. As well any chance of a hint to where the code is added to (file...

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to achieve here, but I'm guessing that you want to do something like this: http://www.inniosoft.co.cc/devstation/profile/1 You say you don't actually want the forum - what do you mean by that?

You should try Post Count Plus (search for it in the Plugin Browser). It gives you the ability to change the levels of different members, based on how long they have been registered for, and how many posts they have made.

Hey there, I want to prevent users from creating new topics on my forum. I have everything synced with my WP installation, so new topics are created automatically with every new post. I guess I just want to remove the links from the forum template/theme to create new topics...is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help! Best Regards, Adam

Which plugin are you talking about? It's possible you don't have the software installed to decompress the file. What is the extension? If you want to download it, instead of clicking the link to the download, just right click and select "Save As" or something similar (I don't have Vista.) Then it will be saved.

I am going through the same process and it isn't easy and definitely is more than just running a script. I'll be documenting the whole process when I finally complete the conversion but don't expect anything for at least a week.

I never knew you COULD log in here with your wordpress.org login. I just tested it and it does work, which is cool. As for the password, I would try to change it wherever you registered. If you registered at wordpress.org, I would change it there and see if you can log in here. Other than that, someone with more experience than me will have to come up with some additional ideas.
