They get rid of LPNs and years down the road they start hiring LPNs and start weeding out RNs because of pay/budget. Then years down the road again, they weed out the LPNs and bring back RNs. When I first started working the only shifts available to me were the day/night swing. It took me 3 years before a day/eve fte opened up. My current job, although I knew I wanted days.
