I agree. I think most of it is for show anyway. If we're waiting on airport security to keep us safe, then we've waited too long.

Well to really nail down and put an end to that particular threat, airports around the world with flights destined for the US would grind to a halt, causing chaos and nobody would get anywhere, so the bad guys would have won. There is a fine balance between normality and security.

OK, so somebody got through. On the whole, that's not bad. Holiday season, more folks traveling than usual, holes in the system, one gets through. I agree.
One thing I think should be done in cases where DNA evidence is available, it should be tested automatically. It took the courts too long to order the testing in this case. That delay cost the taxpayers more than the testing did. He could have been freed 20 years ago.
