Sorry - I spent about 20 minutes on that, but upon reading it afterwards, that was a fairly effective 'fuck you', wasn't it not? (the one edit, notwithstanding, of course...) I mean, just asking....

Well, yeah -- it's not a full-scale invasion or a thermonuclear attack ... nothing that would meet with your approval. But it does lay the groundwork for more effective sanctions if that's the next step in the diplomatic process.

A democrat cheated on his wife so how can I be sure they aren't all cheaters? A christian lied to me so how can I believe any of them? A republican yelled the N word at a rally so how do I know they aren't all prejudice. A man stole my purse so how do I know all men aren't theifs?

Mary Landrieu is not a Whore

Quote: Brooks: Is this a game? Napster: Ultimately, yes. I'm paying incredible taxes at the moment which will soar even higher as a result of this "game". My family's healthcare is better now than it will be if this ever goes into effect. This is not a game. Your lesser involvement in the system, at the moment, doesn't change what's going on here simply because your perspective is different.

Something can be good even if it does hurt your argument. I'd say it was a good thing that Saddam didn't have WMD's. The bad thing was that we were fooled into thinking he was. With this case, the story removes the suspect data and makes the overall data stronger as a whole.

I don't know, Brooks - maybe it's just me, but perhaps he's simply being deferential (in an incredibly informed way). That said, I agree, no sitting American president should "bow" to anyone because it's not culturally something we do, but when it comes to Japan, who gives a shit? I mean, really??? Either way, tell me what you think...

It is big news in some ways and not in others. It discredits the scientists involved. It may ruin their careers. But that's about it.
And it has been all over the news. It's not like it's been kept secret.
