Farmville.com vs. Facebook...

Zynga would be better off hosting their game separately from facebook. It has the name recognition now, thanks to Facebook. Time to go bigger and better.

As great as it sounds, it would be very difficult to implement. The farm would have to be locked to the "employee" (imagine more than one person editing the same farm), so you yourself would not be able to do anything on your own farm. Besides, many players don't want anybody touching their great looking ripe trees. And how about harvesting you chicken coop when you and your closest family is away at work? You come back...

The Clumsy Reindeer is an adoptable lost animal that wanders onto farms.

Probably trying to make the move to being independent so they can get out from under some of Facebook's rules about games. They've got a big enough userbase they stand a chance at being able to break away into a stand alone MMO lite.

If they can't work out something with the surveys/offers, then you're right - they will probably go to a pay-to-play situation. While I like it being free, I'd be willing to cough $5 or $10 a month for the game. Someone had suggested a Farm Cash subscription - that would be a preference for me. Zynga has made ZERO from a lot of us. I haven't purchased anything. Those that want to pay to play, certainly have that right. If paying for things makes the gaming experience better for them, rock on!! Enjoy. Some of us just don't "want, need, nor desire" the pay items. In my opinion, what will wind up happening is Zynga takes the game to a monthly pay format, everyone pays something to subsidize the community and...

I'm sure you are right - but as someone that does occasionally cough up real money for FV$, I'm not impressed at being expected to pay full price while others get a deal

Agreed... The amount of in-game FV Cash you can earn is ridiculously disproportionate to the price of FV Cash items. Sure, of course i expect a certain degree of imbalance to encourage some purchasing of additional FV Cash or offers (when and if they ever come back) for FV Cash... but right now the imbalance is insanely off kilter.

I'm not sure why 1t's 16 FC. The mystery box before this one was also 16. The ones before that were only 15. Maybe they thought no one would notice the price increase? But I don't think that th 16 FC price is a mistake. If it is they've made it twice in a row now.

If the option says Allow Walk, your animals are not allowed to walk around. You need to click that button to give them permission. After that the button will say Stay , meaning you have to give that command to your animals to have them stay still. However, even though all my animals are allowed to walk they don't. I think they need lots of room to roam in and not have any fences ...

You can do one of three things -
1) Use a better browser that is less memory intensive. Hint: It isn't IE8. Firefox (with no extensions except Flash) or Chrome would be better...

I think it is rude that we should have to buy cash to be able to have more storage for our cash barns am getting really frustrated that most good items are cash only not coins at least give us something similar that we can buy for coins.

I come to Farmville to get away from the barrage of telemarketing and other annoying advertising . . . when suddenly an ad for Mafia Wars pops up right on my own farm! . . . Now, I have Mafia Wars blocked on Facebook, so I checked and it's still blocked. . . . So I go back to my farm, and the same ad pops up again. . . . Now its bad enough that the "publish" pop up works about 10% of the time -- ...

First let me start of by saying that I am grateful for game updates and a dedicated staff of developers that are willing to spend countless hours to improve the game.
But I do have an issue with the way updates are implemented in Farmville. Why do the developers not take Farmville offline while performing updates or maintenance like they do in Mafia Wars?
Over the past 24 hours I have ...

Did anyone else just get a pop up saying that they had been "specially selected" to receive a discount on buying FarmCash and coins? Apparently the offer only lasts 10 mins.
