making my PNG transparent
Published (2009-11-29 17:37:00)
StarStock wrote: You need to use "merge layers" or "merge visible" to maintain the transparency. Not if you use "save for web." But you do need to turn off the visibility of any layer (including solid backgrounds) that you don't want to show. So all your layers can be unmerged, but it needs to look like you want it to and you need to see the gray checkerboard where you want the design...

Background Color on ties
Published (2009-11-30 17:22:00)
UPDATE: Digital Gryphon has updated his Zazzle tie review, with a couple more pictures: http://www.digitalgryphon.com/zazzle-ties Here's the two important things he said in his email to me: 1) The background image, which he tiled in Zazzle's tie designer, was printed along the full length of the tie, not just the part that is visible in the designer. 2) The foreground flower image that he placed on the visible part of the tie (the...

Wow, I see the same thing in my stationery store. Instead of a price it says undefined and leads to an error page. I hadn't seen this before, I really hope it's just a glitch.

Font- Copyright Question

Calender Setting does not work
Published (2009-11-30 14:49:00)
Here's a work around that might be suitable. Select the choice to show no date grid at all. Create your own grids with a graphics program inserting whatever you'd like for holidays and upload them as an image. That's what I did for my calendar just to get custom historical dates related to my theme. If you were to customize it you'd loose it but editing information shouldn't make a difference.

Also be aware that you must be logged in under the store name in which you are trying to create the item. If you are logged in under one name, and trying to create an item under another, it will not work.

Not sure with an ordinary save, but I always use "save for web." Choose .png and click "preserve transparency."

Unfortunately yes that can happen. Although check your "in progress" product section, you may find any that you'd customized in there. If there are any you would have to go into each one individually and post for sale though.

You may have missed out on Black Friday (which didn't seem to do all that well for a lot of us) and Cyber Monday (which seems to have done better) but there's still time for shoppers to find your Christmas designs if you get them up now, a lot of people shop til the last minute. I'm still adding things as some people seem to buy ahead for the next year too.

I'm selling a good mix of Christmas items and other things so people seem to be buying for a little of everything.

Are you trying to post an item you created yourself, or are you trying to customize a template made by someone else? I don't see any items in your store - have you posted things for sale here at Zazzle before?

Wow. I thought this was going to be a very ugly thread I would think light is as good as white -- just make sure you DON'T make white transparent in your image when you upload it.

Free fonts from those places are usually fine. The licensed ones you buy from people like Adobe are used commercially for typesetting and corporate logos and stuff. They're extra-super-clean orthodox versions...oh, shoot. I'll confess. I worked with that stuff for years and I don't get what the big deal is about commercial fonts. My boss used to say I was a font philistine....

I think the limit is 50... not completely sure though. If you go over it just doesn't show the excess tags on the product page.... and yes, your products will still appear in the marketplace.

Hit Select All to choose all the images. The background color will then show ...

I ordered my family calendars for Chrismas gifts, I put the grandkids pics on every month and everyones B'Days. I'll let you know how they turned out. They should be here in about a week. Ii tried just adding text through the Zazzle editor but it was too hard, that's why I went with a graphic of each month with the info in it.

The back of the tie remains white. The ties come already made and they print your design on the front. To print on the back also they would need to be folded and stitched at Zazzle as you stated.
