Why? Because I grew up wanting a vette, not a Lotus. Because the lotus is way too small. Because the vette is American made. Because the vette has more hp...than 2 loti. Because I want to be able to drive my car with my wife and have more than a toothbrush with me - and not have the car handle totally differently because I've added 120# to the passenger side thus doubling the weight. Because Opel already made a small fake Vette. Because...

Long trips are murder in one of those and very hard work on track. Better off putting Telsa stickers on it, least then you will fit in with the crowd. Ps My wife's hairdresser has one nuff said.

Published (2009-12-12 12:30:00)
Those are all great points, but in my opinion a true supercar never has to be defended as such. The owner of a Zonda, or McLaren, or Koenigsegg does not have to say, "well if I upgrade the brakes or the tires or the suspension or wrap the plastic interior in alcantara...etc." No sir, those are already true supercars right out the box. Also, when you see one you just know it, you *feel* it. There's something special and...

If the Z06 is not a supercar, why does it come with supercar tires?

I don't believe the Z06 was every a Supercar. I believe it is an American Sportscar that could meet or beat a Supercar. It all depends on your definition of a Supercar.

The seats in my '09 work very well to keep you in place and they are comfortable. I like them much better than the seats in my C5 Z06. The only problem is the seat memory function, you have to apply the parking brake to get the memory seat to work...in or exit...and it doesn't automatically adjust the seat when you get in the car like the C5 Z06 did, you have to push the memory button ...
