Merrick BG gave Snick the runs I tried it way back when he was transitioning off Merrick's Puppy Plate to adult food. We ended up going with Evo at that time and used Evo for about a good 6-7 months with NV raw. Then Snick decided he was sick of Evo & NV and now we use Acana supplemented with Primal raw and he is loving to eat again. I'm very happy with the foods I am currently feeding. If you are down south and can make the trip, I would go to the U of Tenn Vet School for LS surgery, as they are the leaders in this. LS is not a death sentence. If possible surgery is recommended and the outcome is pretty good!

I agree with Carol (Archie) - Beneful is a horrible food. Please do a little research and find a good quality food for your baby. You'll actually save money by feeding a better food because the cheap foods are nothing but filler so you have to feed more of it to keep the pup full. Also, you'll probably spend much less on vet bills over the years if you feed a healthy diet.

We do not get it for any of our dogs and our vet doesn't give it unless requested. They don't even give it to their own dogs! It depends on your area though....if there are cases of lepto it might be needed. If you were to get it I would just stay at the vet office a little longer to make sure there isn't a reaction.

How old is she? Do you pluck the hair out of her ears? She could have ear mites. If it smells really bad - I would take her to the vet. If it's an infection she'll need an antibiotic to clear it up.

I'm not sure about the protein and fat % in HK, so I have no idea if she will ever be able to go back to it. Her fat intake will have to be closely monitored for life. they had dogs die from greenies a while back, because they did not digest well. They were have supposed to make them more digestable, I dont trust them any more personally. I would keep a close eye and make sure you get the right size and if your dog chew them quickly, they could have more problems

He needs to see the vet so they can look at his skin, make sure there is nothing going on in the area, probably have skin testing (like cytology) done, and run blood work. Sometimes things become less of an issue for dogs when they are away from home (vet, daycare), sine there are more important things to think about for them. But there could still be a problem. ...
