We got our new puppy last Sat. and I failed to ask the owner what she was feeding the pup and bought a different brand of food. By Tues, we had a very sick dog, diarrhea, vommiting, weak. We went to the ER and was given meds for the diarrhea & vommiting and also Nutrical. I have since spoken to the owner and got the original food and things have improved so much. It did take me 2 days to get...

My Yorkies Leg Is Broken! Hi all. My Yorkie jumped off the bed about 2 hours ago which put her in alot of pain. We rushed her to the vets who said they think it could be a broken leg and are keeping her in overnight and are going to use anethetics on her to get an xray etc. She is only 10 months old, how serious is this? Has anybody else had a yorkie with a broken leg? I ...

Unfortunately I don't think you can do anything now that you signed your dog off to them. Did they give you any paper work to sign that you were giving up ownership? I really think since you surrendered her you can't get her back legally. I already shared my similar story to you but in my situation my vet was very understanding of Stormy's attachment to me and he felt it was in her best ...

Too Much Thanksgiving for Bella???? Help! Our little Yorkie, Bella, experienced her first Thanksgiving in our home. She is used to a quiet home with just my husband and I. We started the day with her in her xpen in the back bedroom with music playing. We were having 31 people and we thought it was too risky as far as someone stepping on her. Anyway she cried, jumped and ...

sneezing/coughing Hi was wondering if you all know any reasons our 4 month old yorkie is sneezing/ coughing cant really tell what it is. Didnt know if you all had any idea whether its just the transistion from going out in the cold to the bathroom and then coming back inside, or if its just dust. Just wondering what you all think?

Found lumps in my Yorkie's throat Greetings. I hate to enter a forum with a topic such as this but I must. Last night we noticed two lumps, one on either side of our 7 year old's (named Skittles) throat. I assume they are swollen lymph nodes and I am dearly hoping this is nothing more serious than an infection. He has been eating and drinking fine, barking, basically acting...

I'm so sorry your baby is so sick. I was in a very similar situation years ago when my cocker spaniel of 11 years developed congestive heart failure. I still remember agonizing over my decisions and praying for guidance. I absolutely believe you're making the best decision possible for Missy. You would not want her to suffer even for a minute if you could prevent it. I know how hard this ...
