neuter or not
Published (2009-11-26 07:33:00)
I don't know if you plan to breed him with your female... but if this is so, you will have to accept that you might lose her and the puppies. If not... that is not a worry, but the following is: -Constant marking in the house -A dog whose mind is on mating, and nothing else. Honestly, I would leave the breeding to the professionals. They are there to improve the breed. If you want a happy, healthy, well-balanced pet- spay and neuter!

I remember those days...LOL...it was always so cute! But as time goes on my Jackson figured out one was just not enough, neither was two or three....LOL I am sure your babies will get along just fine as time goes on, it takes time for the oldest, he isn't getting 110% of your time. Keep doing what you are doing and soon you will have one big happy family!

From what I've read, if you go back and forth from taking them outside to "go" and using pee pads, it can confuse the dog. Also that pee pads encourage urinating indoors. I would stick with one as much as possible. The crate should only be big enough for Bella to stand up, turn around and lay back down. If there is too much room, she will pee at one end and lay at the other. Is there a ...

Dog in shelter over holiday! I had to leave for a few minutes this afternoon and when I came home there was a message on my machine from the local animal shelter. The lady said that a dog was there that had "returned to me". I do have a few dogs from years back that had new owners and one that went missing. The one that was missing we think was killed by other dogs near our house...

Thanks to all from Annie Just got back from the Vets ( second opinion). First thing she said was, if there's no pain then there's no reason to operate. If it aint broke don't fix it. Needless to say we're changing to this vet. The other was just too knife happy to suit me. Thanks to all of you for your concerns and thanks for the advice.

I think they are beautiful dogs and would love to have one myself. I guess you are wondering if some are judgmental about exploiting this "fault"?? I don't think so on this list. Some of the most frequent, most knowledgeable posters have Parties (not sure of plural spelling). My 'traditional' Yorkie is 9 1/2 pounds and a little too long and there is no cold shoulder about that either.
I think...

Your kidding right? A yorkie does not mean you are gay. The yorkies are a very loving and loyal dogs and who cares what your friends think. He's gonna grow up and get bigger. How big depends on how big his parents were. You just need to keep and eye on him and your larger dog, you don't want to have any accidents. Keep your baby and enjoy him.

Oh wow, that sounds terrifying! And the lady sounds like a complete idiot!
How is Kingston doing? I think I would take him to the vet for a checkover just in case. It wouldn't take much for a big dog to cause internal injuries or damage his spine. Hope you and he are ok!

I'm happier! DH is happier! She keeps life interesting & more fun. She sure keeps things from getting boring here. DS (not living at home) is happy we've got her. He tries to act like she's just a silly little dog, but we know what a softee he is. He's always ready to greet her & play. He really likes her. I think he wishes Roxy was his. Roxy is just so full of joy!...
