The problem is deciding who is innocent? There are no innocent Israelis for example, because all in Israel know the land was stolen because it is still continually being stolen. And you can hardly call the people in the US "innocent". We all know we are stealing oil, backing dictators, backing Israel, starved Iraq with an illegal blockade of food, blockading Iraq, blockading Cuba, murdering Afghans, etc. If the US wanted to...

Finding enough common ground to even discuss the issue reasonably is becoming increasingly difficult it seems. Why do you think we are having so much difficulty arriving at a consensus about what the law should say about abortion? IMO, it's because the rights of the unborn are the only rights...

THE EVOLUTION CRISIS
Published (2009-11-27 01:57:26)
Actually, the more we understand the universe, the less God has been shrinking. I think the psalmist was prophesying, it seems that it is in our search to understand cosmology that we will find God. As things stand now, the universe is looking more and more finite in scientific understanding which requires SOMETHING uncaused out there to have caused it.

I don't think God has to be a process. I'll take this opportunity to tout Finding Darwin's God by Kenneth Miller again. An excerpt (larger excerpt at link):
B y pointing to the process of making a flower as proof of the reality of God, Father Murphy was embracing the idea
that God finds it necessary to cripple nature. In his view, the blooming of a daffodil requires ...

kids have two parents & if this religious home schooling is affecting the fraternal bond, it might be best that she go to a private religious school rather
than a public school after this brouhaha.
