What is the biggest spider normally resident in the UK? There is one in my shed, whose rear-end is about the size of a pound coin and the whole spider is about the size of a head of a 20p piece stuck on to the pound coin, followed by some substantial and hairy legs. How come they don't do that any more in news reports? I've just been watching the news and seeing that yet another young person has lost their life in a knife incident in London. So why aren't the attackers described anymore? I must admit that I strongly suspect they'll turn out to be black and simply not mentioning a description makes it all too easy to default to that.
