In addition to what XCheater said, could your Nvidia drivers be load balancing the GPGPU workload in some strange way? I have another HD4780 512MB arriving this week so when I enable Crossfire, I will test to see if the loads are uneven across GPUs.

There is a 13 fps difference between 1280x1024:161fps and 1680x1050:148fps on my system. imho this bench is more CPU dependant than some may think.

VMD is just the viewer. It has the ability to add in some water molecules and such, but was a little buggy in the latest version. NAMD is a much better choice for benchmarking, as it involves more complex computations (and is something more scalable and reproducible). The end product can in fact be visualized. I guess it all depends on what you are trying to benchmark. VMD is powerful for some ...

Nice tool, but I do have some problems:
1.) It will not show per-core temperatures, while HWMonitor does for a Phenom II 920.
2.) Temperature for CPU (same CPU as above) seems to stay the same since opening sensors regardless of what the CPU load is.
3.) Says RAM is in single-channel mode, yet in CPU-Z it says dual-channel mode. The benchmark in this says RAM bandwidth is 2581 MB/s while...
