If you can't mount your pump in your case, remove the res and mount it outside also. Re do the piping so it is above the pump and feeds to pump first. You could have one of the I7s that is not a very good clocker. I would try everything Con and RGE suggested first though. __________________ Project Millertime: The Core I5 build Crunching/folding box on air: AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition; Sapphire Radeon HD 4830; Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H;...

Reinstall again, might have to much Tpaste I just dunno. Is the system have any gunk in it? How long has it been running? Your res water level is pretty low, still got air in the loop? You really need to get that pump feeding from the res. You got big time waterflow or is the flow weak? __________________ All stock for now i7 965 ES D0 step Corsair 1600 6 gig GTX 280 x 2 Giga Xtreme mobo Two 120x3 loops DDC3.2 XSPC restops XSPC 360RX and...

Yes it will work. Great? umm that leaves a question only you can answer. But it will work. The only area the block needs to completely cover is the underside of the die. The IHS does not need to be entirely covered. __________________ Nadeshiko: *Undergoing Rebuild* Haruhi: i7 975 12GB DDR3 eVGA Classified *Haruhi -> Nadeshiko* Miyuki: W3580 6GB DDR3 P6T-Dlx Lind: Dual Gainestown 3.07 Sammy: Dual Yonah Sossoman cheerleader....

Apogee GTZ LGa1156 retention Kit.
Published (2009-11-27 09:03:00)
I don't believe anyone will be making a socket 1156 kit for the GTZ anytime soon. I was looking at the GTZ for my i7 860 until I found out that they came out with a new block - the Swiftech Apogee XT (currently the best block on the market too) and it is the only swiftech block that will fit 1156 sockets.

Thermal Pad vs Tape vs Paste

paste is better if it's direct contact, like cpu's. but if there is any size of gap, then you should use a pad. as Conumdrum said, go by there instructions. __________________ CPU: Core2Quad q6600 G0 3.5GHz@1.4v (highest so far 4.2GHz) GPU: XFX 9800GTX @ 850/1230 Ram: Samsung 4GB (4x1GB) 700MHz PC5300 Mobo: EVGA-NF68-A1 680i (P32) PSU: Enermax Galaxy 850Watt DxX HDD: WD 500 1AALS, ST3 250 410AS, ST3 500 410AS, ST3 500 320AS - 1.75TB...

A single 360mm rad will not give you room for a decent OC. My guess is you'll need at least 480mm of rad lentgh (so perhaps 2*240mm).
Tubing: I see a lot of people using primoflex. I use Tygon myself, but it clouds very fast ( /care, sine is don't have a window).
There's a lot of fittings around. You'll see BP arounf here often. I use TFC myself. Just make sure they fit your tubing, and ...

Well, 2 pumps down to one and you are surprised there is not the same amount of pressure? A MCP655 is not an RD-30.
I'm confused on the 5 turns to lower pump power. You mean you are turning it 5 complete 360 degree turns?
It doesn't have 5 fixed positions, so yes it should freely turn (no clicks) between setting 1 and 5.

Your favourite reservoir holder?
Hi,
It is time for us to make a step forward with our reservoir holders.
This is why I would like to ask you for your opinions, based on your experiences.
Amongst all reservoir holders for round reservoirs, which one do you prefer the most?

- color
- durability

If ya put a rad after the gpu and before your cpu it will lower your temps a little.
And no, no need for soap or water wetter.
Probably better to run thru the cpu then rad then gpu.

The price difference between a GPU only loop and a CPU and GPU loop is pretty much the cost of the CPU block, in other words ~40$. I would go for both.
A Primochill Typhoon III and a D5 or XSPC Dual DDC Bay Reservoir and a DDC should take care of pump and res in two drive bays. Then just add radiator, hose, blocks and extras as you see fit
Component choice depends on you personal ...

MCR320 x 2 = 400W of cooling EACH ...
+ MCR220 ~ 200W of cooling... so a total of 1000W of cooling..
errr...
Ditch the 220.
Find a creative way to mount the 320's, dont stack them.
Dual up on the pumps, your gonna have restriction.
However... if u have dual pumps you might as well go dual loops.
But dude your putting a lot of heat load on your loop. Your idle will be good, ...

I heard that the mcp350 could be modded with a little soldering to perform like the 355... Still possible?
