Some vantage at 4.24ghz. I had a run at 4.35 yesterday but today cannot get it to finish the test again, today with the cards overclocked this is my best score so far. Hopefully with new ram I will be able to go higher EDIT: here is one at 4300mhz although the score didnt change much.

I have another quad (Q6600) currently being fed by a Seasonic 430, which may limit it's clocks, only just started experimenting with that one. Will try to get some extra work, buy a HX750 for the i7 and give the Q6600 the GameXstream. At least I know then that both rigs will have the juice to take gpu upgrades if the opportunity arises. In the meantime I have to try to figure out exactly what needs adjusting on this i7.....don't want...

Here's mine. Batch is L830B421, VID of 1.2375. Lowest volts at stock speed, 1.040v idle, 1.008v load: What I'm running now, 4.05GHz, 1.304v idle, 1.248v load Very happy with this chip. I managed to boot into Windows at 4.25GHz with 1.392v, but cause of the terrible vdroop of my board, it froze when I started prime as the volts dropped down to 1.336v.

try to do pencil mood to reduce this voltage drop befor go on your clocking I use this board for awhile with this mood and I can do 3.6 for my Q6600 (vid 1.3 ) with 0.02 v drop at full load so it can deal with your q9550 with this mood with low v drop and do a good over clock

Well, he had a good article until the "heat" argument about the stock coolers. Was he like putting his hand by the cooler to "measure" the heat output??? Thanks for sharing, it was pretty humorous. Someone should comment and tell him he needs to compare a q9550 or something, not the i5.

Very nice pictures deepsilver , I notice that you have an china manufactured board just like me as well, did the back of the box list the mobo having a x38 chipset like mine did? Have you already looked at your northbridge temps, I'd be interested in hearing about them as my board runs quite hot there. 3lfk1ng, where was your board made, I can't make it out from the pictures?

If you are concerned about overclocking, D0 920s clock better than i5 750s / i7 860s on average. At the same time memory clocks better on P55 ( dual channel is less stressful )So far P55 seems adequete for any 2x multi gpu setups as of today but that might change down the road. So that said ask yourself do you plan on having this system 1+ years and in that time do you believe you will ...
