As far as i know all june 83850's are flashable. You got the dedication string in jungleflasher so i think you are on the right track. Now you just got to get it twice in a row.

I did the same thing with my july 09 lite on drive...flashed it 3 or 4 times with dosflash, and it still won't play the back ups.

Just bought myself an Elite with the Lite-On drive as part of a bundle from Sainsburys (UK). It's the Pure and Lego Batman bundle, it's one of the newer Jasper boards without the second heatsink and it has the new drive in. Manufacture Date: August 2009. I've flipped the PCB over and it displays BS-2 on the back, which I've read some can be done. But I've tried it almost everyday on JF1.67 and as of yet I have nothing...

Then I re applied the firmware and got the not reading discs This is a new MW2 xbox 83850c aug 2009 drive. Looks like I am in the same situation as Gnarkilljboy.. I have...

I picked up a MW2 Super Elite yesterday and decided to crack it open today, It has a MFR date on the box of 2009-09-08 and luckily has a Lite-On August 83850C drive so I knew I had a chance of flashing it. Followed the guide and used the latest version of Jungleflasher (0.1.67), everything went fine until I clicked write when JF decided to stop responding. I have expierenced this many times when erasing the firmware but never flashing, never...

Flashing Lite-On 83850C with the XBox as Power Source (on JungleFlasher 0.1.67b) Hello everyone! I am having a lot of trouble extracting the key using the XBox to power the drive. I followed JungleFlasher manual precisely. - My drive is the Lite-On 83850c with MFR Date June 09 (so it's all good) - I disassemble the XBox, unplug the SATA cable from the drive and plug the drive to my computer (VIA SATA VT6421A Card). I keep the...

good post, wouldnt have come to this if everyone would read the tutorials over and over until they understand whats going to happen. 'First off, if you plugged in your power cable in, well upside down? Smell smoke? Drive don't work anymore? Then you need to buy a new xbox and be more careful! Learn from your mistakes.' that made me laugh... anyone new to flashing should either wait till more ...

Can you try just dumping the key via the serial port r707 original key dump method? Or do you not own a extractor or similar tool?
