You could swap out your cradle with an Xpress home cradle:...

PIONEER XMP3 IS JUNK DON'T...

My Xmp3 difficulties aren't as bad as many of those described here, but it's not a radio I would buy again. Poor signal reception with the integral antenna is my biggest complaint. I understand not being able to receive well, or at all, indoors or in cars, but not outdoors in the clear. I've strapped mine atop my head and walked around my open front yard, and still can't reliably keep a signal.

Thank you. I have experience with lots of RF connectors, and I know how difficult the small ones can be.

Looking for my first radio
Published (2009-11-27 15:11:00)
I'm looking to get an xm radio, and not wanting to spend a fortune either. I was wondering if buying used is ok, I know when it comes to sub type services sometimes they will not activate the unit, didn't know if this was the case with xm radio or not. The Onyx seems nice, but I really like the features and stuff of the Express RC, but the price is double of the Onyx , but I have seen nice used Express RC's for a decent price...

Any new radios on the horizon?
Published (2009-11-27 20:50:00)
Total B.S. if you are into sports at all the the best of can be a bit of a rip off. I have an XM radio. with best of Sirius. I miss many of the college games that are on Sirius and the NFL coverage is not home and away broadcasts like on Sirius. This is not what was promised when the merger was sold to the FCC.

I can't help you with those particular models. There are lots of threads to read here about them. But I can tell you that used is a little riskier than new but can work out well. Each satellite radio has a unique Radio ID code visible by tuning in Ch. 0 that's used to start a subscription. SXM will activate a radio that once belonged to a different subscriber. They may not if it's been reported stolen to them, however, though I...

XPressRC vs. XPressR reliability
Published (2009-11-27 23:04:00)
About six months have gone by, and a follow-up for someone who might pick up this thread in the future. I bought the express RC in May, and it worked beautifully until about September. Since then it started to lock up (dumping all the saved settings) every week or so, and now it's started taking longer and longer to boot up when I start the car, and occasionally dumps the station I'm listening to. In other words, having many of the...

If you checked this forum and came across the topic, why not post in that thread? I have two MyFis and have no reception problems with either of them.

I'm in Canada, subscribing through XM Canada. I've got a lifetime subscription. Today I flick on the Inno and there's a little message that says something about a change to the terms of service the now precludes "Organizing" tracks. The message was only there for a few seconds so I didn't really have time to take it all in. I change MODE from Live to "My Songs" to see what ...

Particularly interested in a dual mode radio that receives both XM and Sirius so I can eliminate some of my radios. Also, are the fairly new tabletop radios that use wifi also have the ability to attach an antenna to get a signal directly from sats or repeaters? Would hate to lose programming when the Internet craps out.
