Add me to the list. It doesn't happen all the time and gets worse if I seem to actually have a cold or something. I get the pain in both biceps and it is pretty extreme for 20 seconds before it starts to subside. Usually recover in about a minute. I've had it for years, although unlike you "fit" guys I am 60 lbs over weight and sit in a chair all day for work.

Relief for chronic pain sufferers

Thought I would post a link for all those people like myself who have suffered from a muscle, joint or ligament injury without any help from the numerous doctors etc who should be able to help and never could. I started with a frozen left shoulder 6 1/2 years ago and have had xrays, cortizone injections, physio, acupuncture, chiropracture, massage, blah, blah, with the result being my shoulder sort of healed itself after 2 years only for the...

Leg Pain
Published (2009-12-08 06:03:00)
Hi, I am a 24 yr old male. I am experiencing intermitten dull leg pain that usually occurs at night (around the femur). It is almost like a long, drawn out throbbing sensation. I was diagnosed with an enchondroma of one of my fingers about 6 months ago and had a bone scan which was clear. However, I was wondering if the two may still be interrelated. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I've been so stiff and unable to move my knees, wrists, elbows, shoulders but especially my thumbs for over 3 weeks now. My doctor was full, so I saw her PAC. She drew blood and tested me for RA and other variants of Arthritis. On my way out, she stopped me, gave me a funny look, and asked if I had a dog. Now, I tried to keep my composure, as I had just put my baby girl JoJo to sleep two weeks prior. She gave me some samples of Celebrex,...

I have noticed indentions on the top of my head where my glasses rest. This has occurred over months, not years. Also where I cross my legs at my shins has an indention from the constantly being crossed. Other than osteomalacia, what other options are out there? I am approx 5 -6 yrs post menopausal, 41 yrs old, with Fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, low thyroid, high cholesterol. (basics covered anyways!) Any thoughts? Thanks!

I'm posting this for a good friend that is in her 70's. A little background.... Mary is legally blind, and has genetic diabetes, which has been controlled by diet for many, many years. She did take a pill, but has never been on injected insulin. About 3 months ago, her husband (also a diabetic and in very poor health) fell and had to be placed in a Nursing home. Since that time, she started suffering from a rash that makes small...

I have this problem too. My arms will hurt right at and below the elbow after I sneeze. The larger the sneeze the more (and longer) they seem to hurt, it's a very intense tingly soreness that usually lasts about ten seconds. Also, I believe the right arm usualy hurts more. It didn't used to happen when I was a kid, I started noticing it around high school....I haven't met anyone else with this ...

Hi there,
I suffer from the same thing (for the last few years that is) and I am 37. Kinda comes every now and again, but when it comes it can very from light pricks to a strong electrical shock pain. I did an MRI recently, but nothing came out of interest. I am doing another one soon, but with contract, as this may be a sign of some other deseases. You may want to see a neurologist. I ...

This symptom is one of many I have and have had. After 3 years of treating me for low back pain and having the doctors ignore the problems that occured alongside the lbp like pain in the groin, shooting pain down my leg and problems walking I finally asked the doctor why we didn't do an MRI on my hip since it is involved. After they did the MRI they found a torn muscle in my rear end. It ...

fgorgot to say she had a knock in rugby training about three weeks before all this happened, bit of an ache in the leg but that was all, then she had a cold. Another thing probably not really relevant is that it's got suddenly worse twice after her menstrual cycle

Hi Chezzi89
I am a 48 year old male, and have just had to have a total hip replacement because of perthes disease in my left hip.
I was diagnosed with Perthes Disease in my left hip two years ago, I thought originally that something was wrong with my left knee as I felt a stabbing pain in the knee if I knelt down, this was referred pain - a consequence of the Perthes Disease in my left...

This weekend I got a cortisone shot in my joint, only to find the popping sound in my arm amplified. My doctor still tells me to not put any pressure on my joint for the next month and a half.
When I place my arm out directly in front of me, streight, and do elastic pulls across my chest, I can actually feel my clavical and acromium separate as one seems to go on top of the other and vice ...

I just found this site. I have the same problem. Shooting pains in my little toe, left side only. Comes on for about 5 seconds, hurts like heck, and then goes. Doesn't go up my leg. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has this too.
