Smackdown was fairly good this week. I LOVED Punks promo, so many good lines in there 'This IS NOT candy...this is failure in a bottle', 'Look deep inside and find the straighedge within', funny stuff. I liked the whole bucket with Xs on them thing, it made his promo seem kind of different and he was gold on the mic. I didn't care much for Truth coming down because he doesn't interest me much, but this feud has...

I could see a small Punk/Jericho feud emerge from that (even though Punk's occupied with Truth right now) that eventually leads into a longer feud with Edge when he returns next year. Exactly. I guess in today's PG Era, WWE feels that if someone is a face, they can't be cocky and sarcastic and they must suck up to the fans. It's a real shame because I think if Morrison was to be face with even just a touch of the traits he had when he was a heel, he could be a riot to listen to on the mic and a joy to watch in the ring. And that's the perfect combination!

He's starting to get a little more heel heat, but he still gets pops on his entrance and support in the ring. At Survivor Series he's going to get cheered, in his hometown and all. I actually quite enjoyed his heel turn, and his feud with Mysterio has been really good so far.

Is it a major issue? I imagine they just changed it up so its not EXACTLY the same video as the one you saw on RAW, seeing as it also had footage FROM Monday's RAW they'd of either had to edit Jay-Z's track to make it longer and fit the new length, or... use different music...

I guess Sapolsky doesn't watch WWE too often if he found the tapings as "formulaic". It's been that way for a long time now, was he expecting something different? I'm with Jericho on this one.

The Mr Ziggles was terrible yeh. But as I said in another thread, John Morrisons mic still ARE NOT terrible, they just aren't amazing which apparently means they're awful to everyone else. Honestly, most of them are John Morrison matches. He's been sort of the king of the TV matches this year.
- John Morrison vs. Edge
- John Morrison vs. Rey Mysterio: IC Title
- John Morrison vs. Jeff Hardy: World Title
Those were probably my 3 favorites from him, but he had a few on Superstars that were very good too if I recall.

Possible, but not likely. I don't know if WWE has enough confidence in Burchill to give him such a moniker. I know their track record with Vince-endorsed guys has been shoddy, but they usually start off strong (before withering away). So considering how WWE's used Burchill in the past, I doubt they'd start with something that big, even if he could roll with it a lot better than Escobar has.
