Hi, That is just a connection issue. Try going through the steps here: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=2405449520&sid=1#1 Make sure you turn of any programs that might be using the connection, such as p2p programs and torrents etc I recommend scanning the computer for viruses as they can interfere with the connection and cause slowdowns.

Low FPS on High-End PC
Published (2009-11-29 02:43:00)
PS i dont use reduce imput lag for anything. I would just take it off if u dont get any jitterness/studdering by haveing it off. I think its to reduce jitterness/studdering on the cost of fp/s, so if u dont have any issues i would juts leave it off. (aka get the gpu to work harder to sort the studderness...but the more data work for the gpu can reduce the fps)

Patch 3.2.0 PROBLEM!!

The only other way is to wait for the Blizzard downloader to finish, but as you said, it's horribly slow. The mirrors can be trusted, I have always downloaded major patches from mirrors without any problems whatsoever.

Warcraft Minimises whilst playing

Q u o t e: As it happens yes i am - thanks - i will turn it off. Lets hope it works! You don't need to turn it off. The issue only affects those who upgraded from 8.5 to 9.0 If you completely uninstall it, reboot and perform a clean install of 9.0 the problem will go away. Far safer option than turning it off :-)

i'll be blunt here. it's not your computers. blizzard just refuse to recognise the problem and would rather blame you for not updating a graphics driver. i'll say this one just for you blizzard staff and i suggest you at blizzard do some research on this as well, updating graphics drivers is not always a solution several times conflicts on computers are encountered with new driver software that isn't resolved for 1-2...

The weird thing is how this is done - I'm a programmer and know quite a lot about security so i change passwords often, don't use the same passwords for different things, always make sure my computer is up to date with patches, have virusscanner, firewall etc. Plus I'm on a ...

Hi there,
Appears that you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Go to your World of Warcraft folder, right-click Wow.exe, go to the compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator", click apply, then click Ok. Repeat for Launcher.exe and BackgroundDownloader.exe

Hi there,
You do not have the required permissions to launch World of Warcraft. Make sure you're logged into an administrator account, and that all World of Warcraft applications are configured to run as administrator in their properties.

Hi there,
Why exactly are you installing patch 2.0? You can install the full game from the Wrath of the Lich King DVD (providing version 3.0.0) or from the downloader (same version).

Hi there,
The average FPS for "quite recent gaming computers" in Dalaran (on ultra settings and max resolution, aswell as maxed out multisampling) is 10FPS. Are you having these FPS issues also outside of Dalaran?

Hi there,
It's more likely that your ISP is putting you on a slower connection during peak times, rather than the background downloader disconnecting you (the background downloader doesn't download when the launcher or WoW itself are running)

a system with half of that could run wow at max settings.
that doesn't mean your internet will let you play without savage lag though.
