Favorable stats for ICC10/25
Published (2009-12-14 18:48:00)
Since the latest nerf to paladins (ShoR made parryable / dodgeable), Expertise is a very valuable threat stat for paladin due to 50% of our attacks now being parryable. Expertise soft cap is pretty much a must have.

Why ruining warlock tanking?
Published (2009-12-14 12:41:00)
Tanking is fun business. Tank specced classes will overall be better than a lock-a-lock (lock tank) but that doesn´t mean that it makes you untankable. Worldie - Protection Paladin - 46k HP Huordie - Feral Druid - 42k HP Uord - Protection Warrior - 40k HP Darkworldie - Frost DW Death Knight - 38k HP :( Tanking is... srs business Serious business? xD Panzerkin - love it or die trying!

Favorable stats for ICC10/25

Ah ofcourse. I get the picture now, why didn't I sooner?... Anyway, in avoiding gear a pally tank would have 2K BV if not less. Having sufficient block% to block all incoming attacks will be rather useless due to the low mitigation. Armor will be much more efficient here. So indeed gearing for full avoidance. Fetch block only if it's on the gear for some nice additional threat from Holy Shield. Next question: How to socket? Every...

How much do i need?- 2questions(DK)

That is untrue, Ryuko. One should still target 535/540, because if you only go 510/515 you miss out on 3% avoidance. It's a nice starting enchant, but optimally you'll want to have 535/540 without it.

Heroic tactics in brief
Published (2009-12-14 07:21:00)
Q u o t e: 32k Hp is WAY MORE than what you need for 5 men heroics =) People were doing those heroics in faceroll mode at 20k HP already. I've no idea how he managed it, but my priest healed a druid in the Oculus (daily random that Zellviren also got -.-) who had a whopping 24k health. After all the "rofl/lol/nub" talk was out the way, he calmly asked if I was willing to heal him and I said yes. No horrible...

Why ruin lock-a-lock etc?
Published (2009-12-13 08:50:00)
Q u o t e: you should have been around in TBC when warlocks tanked bosses as part of an accepted strategy :) as in, 25 man raid bosses, not 5 mans. i was tanking on my shaman and hunter in tbc tanked illidan on my hunter and tanked kara gruul maggy and some bosses in bt on my shammy (: Q u o t e: What the heck is lock-a-lock even meant to stand for anyway? Lock-a-lock stands for lock tank cuz you cant lock a locked lock can you and the lock...

Losing stamina as druid
Published (2009-12-14 16:48:00)
I don't know what you mean really. Almost every piece of Ice Crown gear has more stamina than what you have now (may be 1 or 2 items don't). Edit: P.S. Believe me, as a Druid when you gear up, having low stamina will be the least of your problems (actually it is not a problem at all for good geared Druids).

Losing stamina as druid
Published (2009-12-14 22:29:00)
Q u o t e: Uhh the only gear i can see are the shoulders (which i have) and the head, unless you're talking about crafted stuff with crusader orbs? Get Tier9 with triumph emblems. There's a head, shoulders, chest, gloves and legs. EDIT: Besides, you need to do ToC10/25 to really gear up for ICC10/25. Emblems help a lot, but still you need to get upgrades from ToC too.

You have a few options.
Spam CC (which is intended and should be used if you don't have the tools available to brute force the instance down)
LoS behind the bosses (which has a few problems because the footmen can "clip" through the wall and instakill a caster without you seeing it)
Or simple utilize all the tools the warrior class has. Intervene, heroic throw silence, Intercept etc etc. ...

Stamina stacking is what you don't want to do.
Stack more Armour/Parry/Avoidance/Block/Dodge.
It's 20 percent less dodge, so although Diminishing Returns seem to kick in earlier with it, it's still a good stat to have.

Perhaps my proudest moment was when my ten man group were attempting the "A Tribute to Insanity" achievement. We were all buffing up and moving closer to Anub'arak (we buff and then move up to signify that we're ready). We were just chatting over ventrilo about how we were going to deal with the ice patches when our favourite mage blinked right next to Anub. Gogo Hand of Reckoning and we proceed ...

Theorycrafting is paladins a bit ahead on the scale, but then again its by such a small margin that it rly doesent mather.
Have played warrior, druid and paladintanks in endgame and atm i enyoy the bears the most,
for me they have the most dynamic playstyle and its extremly hard to get bored compared to warrior/paladin. Never played dk past lvl 60 so i cant coment on em, but i rather have a ...

Tho Coldflames move very slowly, and have a limited length, think of them kinda like moving void zones, they're really easy to run around/avoid.
When we run it, we have all ranged spread out around the edge of the room.
Tanks tank Marrowgar where he spawns, turned away from the raid, while melee stand behind him on the edge of his *very* large hitbox..
When he Bonestorms, we have ALL dps ...

Q u o t e: With the new LFG system i am pretty much levellingt hrough dungeons, and i'm really enjoying it, getting good practice as a warrior tank, but i think i could do better in AN, what with the risk of pulling extra groups when i charge, i was wondering, what is the best way to pull:-
(a) the groups in front of the first boss?
(b) the groups between the first and second bosses?...

Who cares about DPS horny DPS. Let them take care of the mage/priest (make sure they're interrutping the mage) let the hunter pew the healer and just tank the rogue footman
Think Thorim arena. You don't run around after the evokers when the sentinels are twatting your healer.
If you LoS pilar i'm pretty sure AoE will cause problems.

Hey buddy,
I actually did it later on. Even though we all seem to have dc'd just before the running part started.
Basically have your entire dps team inside the crypt and behind the hall arc to break line of sight;
your healer should be standing on the top of the stairs within ur line/range;
sure we don't have any of the other tank's aoe threat abilities, but charge, intercept and ...
