If anyone's doing 1k DPS at level 80, then they have no idea what they're doing, and they got crap gear. Simple as that. Has nothing to do with the state of said class.

Q u o t e: I've found that 18 51 2 is my preferred Anub'arak spec with 1CQC instead of Endurance. I basically use the same thing except I also take 2 points out of Blade Twisting and put them in CQC to avoid Dazing the burrowers when ToTTing them (this slightly hurts my DPS on Anub but the vast majority of that is autoattacks so I don't think it's that bad). I'm undecided as to wether or not this is really needed but...

Due to misses, dodges, (parry+block) and glances you can crit cap your white damage though. I'm sure you meant the latter, just wan't it to be clear:) I'm playing around with weaponswap Mutilate at the moment, hence the gem choices. Frankly I'm seriously pleased...

I still like rogues, I like how things haven't got messed like with paladins and the class is solid, we got our flaws but hey, everyone does. I left my paladin because I don't like how ret is, I was ret till 3.0, I went prot but it got boring fast and ret feels bad. Rogues feel good each day I log in and I hope cata wont change the core mechanics so much, or playstyle, because what I've seen, blizzard doesnt put enough effort...

First off all: do you make sure your S&D never drops?
and second it also may take some time to get the "feel" for the spec => you need to adopt to a different cycle and different cd's and the more you use it the easier it gets

Hey there I can't comment on the Razor Naga, but I've been using a Logitech G5 mouse and the Z Board Fang with my laptop for a couple of years now. I did have the wow Zboard as well when i had a PC but found I wasn't really using it. ending up soaking it in beer in the end. ;D

1) Increase backstab damage by about 20%, Hemo by around 10%
2) Make hemo just as effective with daggers as swords
3) Make Waylay work on backstab and hemo aswell as ambush, remove crit requirement
4) Revert shadowstep to TBC state (as you mentioned)

Unless I'm way off the mark you've actually (over)capped your expertise
You need 214 expertise rating (which equates to 26 expertise) to cap.
With 2 points in the weapon expertise talent you need 132 expertise rating on your gear (which equates to 16 expertise) to cap since you have +10 expertise from the talents.
Your gear has 192 expertise rating (202? not sure if +10all stats applies ...

•Dagger/Fist spec with Sword MH = Not so useful :) Get a second sword ( OH) 1.5 or faster. If nothing else is available to you, try getting Avool's Sword of Jin from the AH. Spec 5/5 Sword spec. You're using a combat dagger specc, that's why.
Edit: Slight elaboration - Combat daggers is the worst possible way to spec in combat, you should get a slow MH and a fast OH, preferably maces as the fotm thing is ArP. Your ability damage is mostly determined by your MH weapons damage, so the slow it is.. the more damage your instants will do, hence why daggers are bad for combat, as they're ...
