Every time I bump this, I'll leave something helpful. Where a lot of people run into trouble with these things is the lack of a reason behind each character quirk and abnormality they write in. Ultimately, every deviation from the norm within your character's history should be there for a reason, whether it's to help bring them to the personality you want them to have or encourage a certain sort of RP with them or what have you....

I can't believe people find it impossible to fathom that some zones might be lost to time after a while. Dudes. It happens. An MMO that does not change is defying one of the exclusive benefits of the genre.

I'm currently toting around the Greatsword of Horrid Dreams. It's the glowy purple one that looks big enough to be a 2h, is big enough so that it should be carried on your back, but is one-handed and carrieied at your waistt anyway. The thing drags on the flooor when I run. If I can find one that looks better, I might swap it out. Then again I have a tendency to collect nice looking swords...
