Bored Healing heroics?
Published (2009-12-31 04:31:00)
Q u o t e: You really can't just heal a heroic a day without finding a need to get a challenge? Some people have these things called alts. I, for one, run six daily heroics each day. They get pretty boring by the time I reach my nicely geared healer main. In addition, some people aren't entirely self-serving. When our friends pipe up that they need a healer for a random, we go with them. This can result in more than one heroic per...

Truth ^ It is adequate for some level of play. If people choose not to use grid for their level of play, more power to them. It is, however, inadequate at higher levels of play. There really is no complaint by anyone (that i see) who uses the additional add-ons. I mostly see complaints by those who use the default UI, but want it to do more, but at the same time refuse to use add-ons. Catch22 i guess?

Disc T10 bonus conundrum
Published (2009-12-30 16:32:00)
Q u o t e: I wish I'd known that - I'd have been hoarding points for tier tokens =/ This HoT stacking actually makes Disc tank healing pretty respectable, doesn't it? I played with just Flash Healing myself and I ended up getting it stacked enough times that the HOT was ticking for 6K. It's RNG, but if you're stacked haste to get FH cast down low enough you can get some decent up time on it. Algalon is really the only...

Resto shaman threat in 5 man's
Published (2009-12-30 07:16:00)
Q u o t e: I'm aware that the tank was bad but as all of us healers know sometimes we gotta "carry" the group a bit. If I had some way to dump or lower my agro on more then one target, I could deal with a tank that doesn't react fast enough in situations where mobs are a little spread and hard to gather up. Just a thought not something that is a must need for shaman. I just thought a area threat reducer would be...

I'm Sorry Disc, Heal The Tank
Published (2009-12-30 13:48:00)
A lot of the complaining seems to be that a single disc priest can't solo heal the tanks. Try putting more than one healer on the tanks. You can have the absorption of a disc priest AND the throughput of a pally. It's not one versus the other. Along with whatever HPS they can do, the disc priest provides absorption/mitigatio n and tank saving cooldowns while the paladin (or druid/shaman in a pinch) provides the raw HPS throughput...

The column writer was ignorant, prolly not even a healer main in-game. The reason Blizz often doesn't bother to improve their game is because thousands upon thousands of their loyal players will do their job for them. The work is free, high quality & exactly what the customer wants.

Barkskin for sure, while it won't save you every time, any damage reduction helps imo. For the last 2 i use innervate but def barkskin with how many people like to train druids and how easy they can be to kill in 3's.

I can't say I agree that two HL paladins need a filler healer. Even my own crap-geared paladin has a 1.5sec HL cast time. A real raid-geared pally probably gets down to what, 1.3, 1.2? You really aren't going to need filler heals with that kind of speed. FoL would be very minimally speedier. Then if you have your other pally geared/specced for FoL, what happens when (not if) your HL paladin has ...

If the raid leader has assigned the Disc Priest to heal the tank, then that is what the Disc Priest should do. If the raid leader has assigned the Disc Priest to bubble the raid, then that is what the Disc Priest should do. Pretty much.

This thread will definitely open up a can of worms...lol. I honestly believe that if a Holy Priest had very good Intellect, and gear filled with Haste; following it up with Flash Heal Glyph and Improved Healing I would say it could be done, and fairly effectively mind you. They still won't be able to heal two tanks in heavy hitting situations, so I don't know how big of a deal this really is. ...

If you're single target healing, you're keeping LB up. That's pretty much the role it's had for all of wrath - what's the problem here? That rejuv is better for randomly spamming on the entire raid?
