It is a little different in Windows 7. If you right click a web site shortcut on your desktop and drag it to the taskbar you will get an option to pin to Internet Explorer. If you pin it to IE when you right click on IE on the taskbar you will see that web site in the list. Windows 7 does not, by default come with the quick launch toolbar like previous versions of Windows but I found a way to create one. Then you can put shortcuts to web sites...

Frostwire itself is not illegal. Frostwire can be used as a peer to peer file transferring system of uncopyrighted materials. But once copyrighted materials starting being used, downloading and uploading is illegal.

In Windows 7 how do you pin URL's to the taskbar. I want to pin my ISP, bank, a few others to the task bar but they don't have a place to pin them to it. Installed programs are fine, they have a place to click on to pin them to it but URL's don't. oldgoat

Thanks so much... In general when you folks leave links like the ones below it would be helpful if you were as specific as possible about them and where to look for the help requested in them? They are quite often "overwhelming" with info for me at least. My MS Word 2003 has started showing the raw html. For instance, if I type xxx@yyy.com , the whole thing 'leaks' its html 'innards', preceded by the word 'HYPERLINK' and the whole thing enclosed in 2nd. (crooked looking) brackets.
I had tinkered with the normal.dot file to speed up loading.
What's wrong? Something to do with Format, I guess.
How to restore MS Word's behaviour, please?

No browser IE or any other is 100% safe. Each browser has it's own bugs and security issues. Microsoft has released patches for IE8. I have not issues running it on any of my computers. Keep your OS updated and your browser updated. Practice safe surfing and keep your antivirus/antispyware/firewall programs up to date.

Netbooks are very inexpensive "mini" laptops. I personally do not like them but they are suitable for email, web browsing, simple word processing and so on.
If you are looking for a laptop Dell generally has some pretty good deals. I but all of the computer equipment at work and we use a lot of Dell products. Recently we have been looking at Lenovo laptops and they have some excellent deals. ...

It will be smaller. If the monitor's optimal resolution is 1366x768 that is what you want. The higher the resolution the more screen area you will have. 800X600 is not an ideal resolution for web viewing. If you find it is too small you can try 1024X768 but that may not display correctly on your monitor. You can adjust the font size. In control panel > display click the settings tab and then the ...

You need to go to the Crucial website and run their scanner.
This will tell you (a) whether or not your machine can support that much memory and (b) which type of memory your machine needs.
