Jotun Grunt cummulative upkeep cost is return two cards in a single graveyard to bottom of library. what happens if there is only one card in the graveyard? do i have to sacrafice the jotun grunt? Thanks in advance

I think the same question applies for Faceless Butcher , but I'm looking at Oblivion Ring . If I get one of these permanents out of play while its comes-into play ability on the stack, I assume it will try to return to play a creature that can't "return" because it's still in play. Raking canopy triggers as soon as the creature is declared attacking. The damage from canopy will be dealt way before the attacking creature gets to deal damage to you.
