Essentially, what you're saying is there's no free mobile to mobile (M2M). That's not uncommon with basic prepaid service. The support on their web site states their plans are AnyTime minutes only. They do offer a shared minutes plan. If you still have access to your old bills, you should check how many M2M and Night & Weekend Minutes you used with AT&T. Add those to the AnyTime minutes you used and that should...

i agree in priciple , but not in reality. i requested a copy of the extremely fine print rules from consumer cellular, which they provided by mail. i got strongest pair of glasses and found out just what aarp endorsed. i found some scary things out.# 1 if you use your phone to call 911 , we can't assure you will be heard or found. it says basically that they are not responsible for the phone working because of weather, usage or their...

Welcome to WA! There are a lot of options available to you when travelling abroad and some options are better than others depending on your needs. It's difficult to make a recommendation without knowing more info... How much will you be calling ? Will it be for occasional use or are you going to have long convos? How much will you be texting? What type of phone do you have? Is it unlocked? Does it have Wi-Fi? With that information we can...

If your existing GSM phone is quad band, or even triband (limits your Italian service provider options), get the "Subsidy Unlock Code" from your domestic service provider (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) who sold the branded phone. After you receive it (give and email address) with directions, you'll have an unlocked phone. COtech

I know a few people that do it. They state wi-fi is common enough they don't miss having cellular data on the iPod Touch.

best prepaid service ?
Published (2009-12-10 17:55:00)
I was advised to look for 2 prepaid phones for 2 young boys for Christmas (15 years old). Ebay, Best Buy, at&t website are all options. We would buy them...and it would be up to their mothers to provide money for refills. I think they want to text, but I don't know if that will be a necessary expense. Anyone out there with kids...who got their kids prepaid phones...keeping in mind the extreme possiblity of loss and/or damage to them?

Welcome to WA TrickyRickinOK. Although I have never personally ported a number from a Tracfone account to a TMobile To Go account, I have ported into TMobile To Go from other carriers like Cingular, and Verizon as well. This is how I was able to successfully transfer all of my numbers into TMobile: What you will need to do is call #1-877-464-8646, and choose the option to be connected to...
