When someone sends me an e-mail with a PowerPoint attachment, I'd like PPViewer to automatically open it when I click on it. As it is now, I have to click Open with, then Browse... and then drill down 3 or 4 layers to the program's .exe file every time. Isn't there any easier way? I've downloaded PowerPointViewer 2007 and installed it, but I'm not sure where it wound up. With my old computer, with Windows XP and SM...

Thank you westside. I will do that and then try the Profile Manager again. The FF 2.0.0.20 I have installed is the last that works with 98.

Quote: I did not say that IE Tab did not work with 1.1.8. I think, I said that there is no version available for 2.0. At least, up to yesterday. Correct. However, I was just suggesting to try it with SM2 to see if it works. IMNSHO, ITab should be a built-in feature of all Mozilla products. p.s. I'm glad you were able to find Coral; it means there's hope for the rest of us.

It took me 5 days but I figured it out. Actually, my initial post is a bit misleading. I never did get the .pps file to open until now. Here's the solution I worked out: I first have to save the .pps file to my Temporary folder, then click on it there, drill down to where the PowerPointViewer program is (I moved the program to the MS Office 12 folder), and click on the PPV .exe file there. ...

Hi Westside,
OK, when I'm using SM 1.1.18 and I click on the WBBS shortcut or on a link in my e-mail, when I'm taken to this site, my UserID and password are automatically entered into the Login window. I do have to click the Login box, but that's it. With SM2, I have to physically type the first letter on my UserID and then a dropdown box opens and I have to click it: Then my password is ...

Out of interest I logged onto your website ......
Although it shows OK (maybe) in Firefox it does not in IE 8, not even in compatability mode.
BTW - I know nothing of Seamonkey - never even seen a screen shot

The format of the SM2 password file is of the same type as Firefox, i.e. signon.txt (I got three such files. If you know about the other files, you should be able to find the folder.
It is: C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\ SeaMonkey\Profiles\
xxxxxx.default. The passwords were in the .s file in 1.1.x.
I had been testing SM2 since it became available, so I had ...

Hi Tom,
That was the first thing I did because (from another post) when I installed SeaMonkey 2.0 to test, both 1.1.18 and 2.0 were default browsers, which lead to problems.
I had to go to Folder Options\File Types and change "Internet Shortcut" to SeaMonkey.
My question is: why? When I installed SM 1.1.18 on a clean machine I didn't have to do anything, but with 2.0, I do.

The directions seem ok. I did a test sending a link from one of my Cox addresses to my Yahoo address. This was from a L.L.Bean e-mail, and it was not a visible link, but, rather, a picture, as it is common in such newsletters. I right click, and one option was to Copy link location. I, then, right clicked and pasted into the e-mail. I received a working link at my Yahoo address.
How were you ...
