Hi Cudni and stackz, I understand what you're saying, but Quote: Originally Posted by stackz Any setup file compiled with INNO shows that notification - file is not an archive. not every setup file built with Inno Setup, is giving that warning from NOD32. FanJ, you're quite right. I inspected my last scan results and checked on the INNO setup files. Some of them reported as 'not an archive', I was able to extract their contents using 7zip, others would not extract. It seems likely that it is dependent on what version of INNO was used to compile the setup file and that ESET's unpacker just doesn't recognize all compression methods. The same goes for 7zip archives - with...

Trying to renew licence

"Username EAV-etc not found or inactive. You must use your 'AV-#####' or 'EAV-#####' ESET username for renewals" the entry I made is an exact copy and paste from the email I got in response to my question about the numbers required. When this didn't work I got email saying I could phone and have the renewal processed manually. That's a kind offer but it's kind of sticking in my throat that I...

Hello, It looks like you posted your original message on Saturday at 5:46PM (Pacific), is that correct? Assuming you did not receive a response today (Monday), you can always call the ESET office. Many of them have toll-free numbers. I am not sure what part of the world you are in, but if you are in North America, ESET's toll-free number is +1 (866) 343-3738, for which there should be no charge to call. Office hours at 6:00AM-6:00PM...

Hi all, The previous IT person installed Nod32 invidually and manually on a few machines and they all worked well. I then installed the ERAC, so I use this to uninstall and push out Nod32 again. However they are shown on the client list as "incorrect username and password". I am sure that the credentials are correct. I tried to push out the configuration again with the username ...

Tbh Eset 2.7 used to be my only AV because back then it was just fantastic. The GUI, detection, removal and settings...brilliant! Actually I'm pretty disappointed by Nod32 because the program just doesn't run as smooth as its predecessor.

I have had problems for over two months now. (search the forum for my name) Currently I am stuck on virus signature 4547 (Nov. 4/09) on a Win 98 machine. I like NOD, but it would seem it it time to move on. Pressing update now for the last two weeks has got me nothing.

2.7 is a good (solid and lite) choice for Win98. Updates are still provided, I think, but only Eset knows for how long. In any case I'm sure Eset will provide a timely notification if they intend to stop updates
