So it's OK to lie now? Since it's just "opinion" that means lying is OK? Good! I know for a fact that Glen Beck kills puppies, Ann Coulter used to be a man, and Rush Limbaugh travels overseas to have sex with little children. Don't you dare criticize me for saying these things! After all, this board is for opinions!

Certainly this looks dishonest, but I do have to say that these things are often the result of laziness or incompetence on the part of a producer. I wish all news organizations were much quicker to address these things head on. Hannity should certainly apologize but, more importantly, explain. There are a few news items in the last few days that separate FOX News ever so slightly from TownHall.com, but the opinion section has continued to be a...

It is a scary consideration, no doubt. Rather than just stabilize it allow the economy to work itself out along the lines of the normal boom and bust cycle our leaders have instead continued to artificially stimulate it and amass insane levels of debt and work to saddle us with more entitlement programs passing bills the American people oppose.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar..._to_boost_gop/ -snip- Spurred by conservative talk radio, GOP voters who say they would never back Clinton in a general election are voting for her now for strategic reasons: Some want to prolong her bitter nomination battle with Barack Obama, others believe she would be easier to beat than Obama in the fall, or they simply want to register objections to Obama. The problem is in punishing an entire group based on the actions of one. There are many Muslims in the armed services who are good honest decent people. To generalize this would be like doing the same to Christians because a Christian blew up a federal building in Kansas.
I agree that this guy had warning signs, but I'm not about to label all Muslims as possible mass murderers.

I climbed the Capitol steps just before the event started so that I could get a good view of the whole crowd. I divided it into sections and counted. That's where I came up with 5,000. It's possible more came after I did my count, but nothing near 10,000. Dana Milbank, Washington Post Columnist ¹ Whatever the numbers were, Jon Stewart demonstrated last night on The Daily Show , if you ...

Gee the candidate that was touted by your side as the most liberal senator in the senate (which was a bald faced lie) isn't pulling out of Afghanistan and is actually adding more troops? If he was so liberal you should be glad he isn't pulling out all together. But of course he can't win no matter what he does so it's irrelevant.
I guess you're ignoring those that say more troops on the ...

I'd say rather obviously it wasn't Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which sickeningly is the line I've seen many in the media jump on.
The guy planned this out, he knew what he was going to do, did he do it because he's nuts? yeah, most terrorists are. it was an act of Jihad.

I think the emphasis on the Dow is overstated, as I argued back when Bush was President too. The problem is that people look at that and say "hey, the economy is doing great!" All the Dow really tells us is how a certain section of the economy is doing; it's only a part.
After all, while Dow is doing well, unemployment is up and the cost of living is such that the average working family is ...

Coincidentally, a lesbian couple I know just tied the knot in Massachusetts last week. (My wife and I couldn't make it). We've known them since about 1990, and remember when they first started dating soon after that time.

I think it's obvious that if someone kills a bunch of people, and his name sounds Arabic, the majority of Fox poll participants will call him a terrorist, regardless of any other information. This doesn't mean that a more considered reflection won't also suggest this idea, but polls on sights like Fox or CNN don't reflect much thinking.

What a bunch of spoiled brats throwing a tantrum.
And what an idiotic thing to do considering Fox has the largest audience of any TV news outfits with a considerable share of independents which totals, due to their audience size, more than the other networks.

You know who I admire? Political commentators who can analyze election results and poll results and come up with reasonable, logical conclusions and can intelligently discuss political strategy, no matter what their own political views are.

The prison system is not what is bankrupting California. I'm guessing it has a lot more to do with entitlements and state workers union pensions if it's anything like New Jersey- this is what happens when government steps so far outside of its mandate. I doubt it has much to do with tax cuts as California vies with New Jersey for the highest taxed state in the nation.
I wouldn't call ...

Don't most conservatives blame Reagan's recession on the economic policies of Jimmy Carter?
The stimulus package was far from perfect, but I think it is still to soon to know if it was a failure or prevented worse losses.

I'm interested in feedback from health care bill opponents on whether this is a logical argument against the bill. Again, not whether the bill is good or bad, but if this criticism of the bill is logical or consistent with other criticisms.
It is OK to say you oppose the bill but think Joe Wilson is making an idiot of himself.
