MBAM is good, but like McAfee or Symantec, it only finds some malware. None of them find all of it. If you do experience any more problems, please follow the link I gave you and post in our malware forum and let a pro look at you system.

IE 'stops' every time
Published (2009-12-09 13:27:00)
Thanks for the reply. I have done as you suggested. There seem to be conflicting opinions on google search as to whether revsci is dangerous/malicious or not. Do you know if it is dangerous/malicious, or just an annoyance/inconvenience. Thanks again for the help. Much appreciated, as always. hedley

Often the best solution is to Uninstall Adobe Flash Player completely and then install the most up-to-date version. For the Adobe Flash Uninstaller, go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html For the most recent Adobe Flash installation (version 10.0.32.18), go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=DXLUJ

Does the machine only fail when in IE ? for instance are you able to stay booted up and perform extended activities on your machine locally as long as you don't connect to the internet with IE. Are there any other symptoms of Browsing. For instance attempting to browse to a known website, but being re-directed to a different site? Are you able to use other Browsers, for instance ...

Selina, Do you use a wireless Sprint modem card with that machine? CMOtech is a USB wireless modem. You may have it in your startup file and it is giving you trouble because it has been unable to establish a connection. Will you please confirm yes or no, that you use a cellular wireless to access the Internet. Best Regards

By the way - AppleMobileDevices is something that came with ITunes and I have blocked it's access to the internet as I wasn't sure at the time what it was. And MsnPlus I no longer have on the PC. I never installed the spyware version of it though, incase you're wondering.
