Thank you Rod. I love it when you talk praise to me. Thanks Bonnie, I think the hair is what attracted me to this image. Oh Bert, always a pleasure hearing from you! Thanks Rick! I've done a little more work. Normally I wouldn't have posted with such a small change, but I felt it was time for some close-ups. Please forgive the blurry areas, but my new "flatbed" scanner doesn't really have a...

Oh , My Goodness, What a difference the hair makes. I was sure it was a monk until you added the hair. Brilliantly done too. This does change the whole effect, though I don't know why it should. You are full of surprises, but it is still so neat to see your creations. Bonnie

It's hard to believe that not only are we at the end of the year but into the last of the decade as well. I trust that all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas with warm times with family and or friends. I surely did. My holidays have taken a different turn at this stage of my life but have a new charm and warmth. My house required too much to get it ready to decorate, but I enjoyed all the more the beautiful traditions and ornaments at...

Thanks all..Damage control worked. They love it (as I did) and we're communicating again. Molly even came in to see it and take it home. She's a busy little girl for 17. Where in the world do you find these marvelous subjects? Also do you tone as you go? That is wash with ink.
This will be another classic Diane Lee art work, gorgeous.

Going to look great Doc.
I would have never noticed the crooked cobble had you not said that. Especially after the dog is center attention, but if your like me it will bother you and you will go back and fix it. Someone is going to get a real treat for Christmas this year!

Haha Rick. I don't think there is a deep end for you! This is going to be great. What an incredible job you've done already of the transfer! I get so impatient with that stage and you're so methodical!! Can't wait to see it finished.

TJ - it sounds like you had a great holiday, that is wonderful to hear! Send that snow north!! I'm happy to take everyone's snow
Our Christmas was quiet but lovely - we went skiing (well, boarding for me) on Christmas day and the dogs are both still with us for the time being so I have no complaints!
The coming new year is exciting though, isn't it? I worked through Alyson Stanfields ...

I hope this practice will help me reach with my imagination. I will be doing a number of these on 5"X7". Comments most welcome as this is a learning thread. I can already see some things to make this a more realistic character. This practice was to put light from our left front to right rear. Rick

It must be the season. I felt that way about my last one and probably the one I'm working on now, too. This one has elements that are gorgeous. I'd say you're probably ready to transition into even finer work and your mind is there (why you don't like this one) but your hand needs to catch up. It's very nice and nicest is you caught the beautiful soul and smile of the golden. Good job.

Hey! i'm new to scratch board, and i think your bird looks good! I love the color. My only suggestion on the branch would be to make a lot of lines in different directions to make it look more like bark. but i understand it's kinda scary to touch it cause the bird looks great.
