I also have a Shih T'su and Jocelynsart painted him for me! I treasure the painting! I'll post it and it may give you some ideas although the colors will be a bit different. His nose is absolutely flat to his forehead and that doesn't quite show properly but you get the idea. His name is Ping Pong and he's 13.

I thought I've been more tired lately. It would be nice if you channeled a bit of it back. I love this painting and I love the new title. A certain somebody around her instructed me to check out the turtle as well, so I'm off to enjoy more of your work. One of the great things about fun paintings is that the fun in infectious! Who wouldn't want this kind of energy and fun on their wall?! It makes me want to do a cook something...

Nicely done, Dana Here's a thought: Photographs lose subtle variations in color and chroma with the result that landscape objects in fotos tend to be more isolated from their surroundings than IRL. Those orange trees are reflecting the sky and the green objects in front of them, but the foto won't normally show that subtlety and the trees become somewhat isolated. Also, the objects near ...

I really enjoy the angled horizon echoing in the long shadows. The composition is quite nicely done and the painting works beautifully as a whole. The sky looks a bit too blue for the time of day you are depicting--I would expect to see more warmth there. __________________ Talya Johnson talyajohnson.com...
