Elaine, thanks for the feedback and great idea. I've sort of done what you suggest in another image, although it's a bit more lighthearted. My friend Ben, a sculpture, is always snacking. This image "Ben's Masterpiece" is built on the background of a torso that he did in black walnut. The rest needs no explanation.

Hi Ken. Welcome to the Photography channel. Some great photos you posted here. "Keyed Up" is an excellent composite. "Ben's masterpiece" is not only a fine shot, but it's making me hungry. By the way, I'm relative new here too. I spent five years in the Drawing and Sketching forum but decide to park here for a while. Welcome. Hope you stay a while and post some great photos Chuck

Question on digital serigraphs
Published (2009-12-23 15:02:00)
I have been working with photoshop for sometime but I recently saw some digital serigraph work that looks very promising. My question has several sides, one part is there anyone working in this area here and if so what do people sense about the finished piece. I have an epson 2200 so the image will have a faithful reproduction but I'm concerned that the art buyers might shy away from this presentation. Am I overly worried over the...

Hi Christopher, that looks great. Only problem is that its so small I can barely tell whether it's really great, or just looks great. You've obviously put a lot of thought into the frame and mat, and the presentation is very good, but combined with the small size I must have all of about 400 pixels of your art to look at. Are you worried about people stealing your images if you post them larger?...

Nice one! I like the combo and black and white and how delicate the color is in the flower. As long as you ask for comments- good or bad, my first thought was that the hand didn't look quite right. If it was a photo, perhaps it's just where it was cropped, however, I like where the flower falls in the photo (not dead center)

Christopher, people do read them, but sometimes there is nothing much constructive to say. I'll say that I don't care for this one. It just looks blotchy, as if you took a bad photo and tried to make something from it.

Well, I would say that perspectives would have to be fairly compatible. In other words you'd have to be able to "picture" where the one image would fit in with the other. Then you'd have to adjust the pictures levels/color saturation, graininess, focus etc. so they would be believable when merged. Then find the area to place the photo you're moving, lasso the cat and drag him into the purse ...
