Since the picture ends on the left [as ye seeing it] right to the edge, scanning it so just your sig shows, cutting the rest, ought to place it in that 11x17 mentioned - if ye interested in trying that - and the picture will remain balanced [actually moreso, as ye slightly too to the left anyway]...

I second Robin's request for a link to that presentation, Char! You are doing an incredible service! Like Elaine, I have so much more than three things to be thankful for. But certainly my good fortune to live as a Christian in the Land of the Free (at least if we wake up and keep it that way), a wonderful family and the gift to be an artist immediately come to mind. We are having a huge Thanksgiving with lots of extended family and...

There is a new thread "old rusty hinge" in DRAWING and SKETCHING sub forum. What do you think about it? I'm sorry: no colors only black and white.

What a neat picture! Wouldn't your son like to keep the portait of himself? Does he do calligraphy by any chance?! That certainly is a substantial amount of time invested in this one Char, you continually amaze me with your dedication to your art, well done!

I too have a Sakura and love it. I actually do not use an eraser for CP but I do a lot of graphite work and love using it to actually create about 50% of my drawing with. It took me some time to figure out what all I could do using one and how to shape the eraser for certain results. I bought a box of 100 replacement erasers which will last me at least a couple of years. Maria

This is very nice!Tthe layers show through and create a luminous effect. The candle on the left seems to have more of a halo than the picture, a quick burnishing would create a smoother transition, or maybe the intention was to augment it? Beautiful flesh tones and an atmosphere evocative indeed of those times. Great treatment of the drapery as well

Hi All,
Just wondering does one really need an Electric Eraser? Do you use yours a lot or just a few times? Are they worth the money ? How many refill Erasers do you use ?
If they are really useful and worth getting, is the Sakura Cordless Electric Eraser a good one to get ?
Kind regards
Chiff

Thanks for posting all this information Char. His neck looks a little long, but also seems to be in the reference photo. It's hard to be sure from the angle of the reference.
Bless you for what you do in your Fallen Soldier portraits.

That sounds delicious, Robert. I don't have to cook dinner. We travel to in-laws. But I am in charge of bringing the chocolate layer cake every year. In the last year I have discovered that my body doesn't tolerate wheat very well (gluten intolerant), so this year I have to make a few things to take along that I can eat. I can't do without bread stuffing on Thanksgiving, so I'm making a gluten...

Hi Lexy ...
Sorry to hear of your problems ..
I'm a bit surprised that you had a problem with F-C pencils, they're normally very good ..
With regard to adding more pigment and then adding more water to achieve depth .. you might like to consider investing in Derwent Inktense .. as the name suggests, the pigment is Ink, as opposed to a water colour pigment ..
The main advantage is that...

Hi Everyone, Its been a while since working in my old Prismacolors - Here's an 18"x24" piece I did for this car's owner. This is a 1939 LaSalle (a car made by Cadillac from 1927 to 1940). I chose to feature his car in front of a local Pennsylvania barn.

I think you'd need a vanishing point for every vertical plane but I get
