That got me thinking. How would it go if we wrap our tyres with a few loops of thick rope in soft sand as an alternative or in combination with letting the tyres down? 1) Would it work on it's own....

Just wanting to fnd out who has made a draw system for a vehicle themselves. I have just aquired an old patrol and want to put a storage system in the back but do not want to spend top dollar as she is an old banger just to tow the boat really and maybe some camping trips with the kids. I would like to put the fridge on top. Anyone made one? What did you use and what can you recommend? I need to ...

Looking to get rid of the Hilux, and get a better vehicle, as the Hilux seems to have been cursed from day one. Everyone else with the same model loves them, mine seems to be packing it in in most areas. I have been offered a New Nissan Patrol ute, with all the fruit, for ths same price as a new Hilux with all the necessary fruit. Its a 3.0 litre, turbo diesel, common rail intercooled motor,...

One of these things that you use every now and then. It sits in the rain and dust for months and when you need it is it ready? What maintenance should be done on your winch and how often? Stories and thoughts on this! regards John _____________________________

If you had to choose between a 3.0 litre Nissan Patrol (post 2002), or a Misubishi Pajero 3.2 litre Di-D, which would you choose??? Its parameters are towing a camper outback.....corrugated roads, lots of sand and sandhills..............

Have a look at the Goodyear Silent Armour also, 285x75x16 around $325 ea. I bought a set for the Effy and very happy with the quietness, better steering and all round feel, they have a high load rating and from what others tell me hold up well in the wear & puncture resistance. Goodyear have a buy 3 get 4th for free at present, but just check on that, might be limited to sizes ..... ...

Anyone know who's open in the metro area on the weekend and has genuine / aftermarket parts for Nissan Patrols? Chasing a crankshaft front seal for a 97 4.2lt turbo diesel. Tried Coventry's, Repco and Malz already!
