So they refaxed it? Great! Yes patience is somthing that you have to learn and with this surgery you will need plenty of it. Im glad you got things going. Sometimes you have to help cut that red tape as I call it.

Hi. I'm just over 2 weeks out from my surgery. The idea of pureed meat made me sick as well, but I must say I have gotten used to it. Do you like chicken salad? I have been eating a lot of chicken salad. It's more like chicken spread, but really isn't that bad. I weighed my chicken first to get an idea of how many servings I would end up with. Then I blended the chicken by itself (makes for easier cleanup with blender) and then...

Your surgeon's office has done enough of these with various insurance companies to know when a patient will be approved, and when not to bother even submitting. If they turned your stuff in so fast, it means they fully expect a positive answer in the very near future. You are so close to your new life!!! CT

I also got a copy for my self so there was no mix up. I sent one in my self it just has to be on the Dr letter head. Wish you the best of luck

I'm only 7 days out (11/24) and I still am on clear liquids. I'm really trying but it is VERY HARD to get it all in. I constantly feel like I have just chugged a gallon of water! I make my first protein shake of the day with ff milk (approved) so at least I am getting a little more protein with that one shake. I found everything to see sicky sweet in taste so this am I used just the vanilla ...

New guy here
Greetings all,
I am scheduled to have a RNY bypass done January 11th at the VA Hospital in San Francisco, just coming here to find out as much as I can about what I am getting into. I have been on the waiting list for roughly a year and was just recently given a date. My biggest concern at this point is how much time I will be off work, I don't trust my job ...

My surgeon "suggested" to me that RNY would be a much better choice for me given the amount of weight I needed to drop. He showed me the statistical data from the thousands of patients his practice has done. Faster loss, more loss, better maintenance of the loss, and fewer health complications, all with RNY. The band needs constant maintenance to get the fill right and keep it there, and then ...

Onederland for the first time in 27 years!
I wanted to wait a couple of days to make sure I didn't go back up. I haven't been below 200 since 1982!!!
There are no words to express my thanks to God, my family, friends and, of course, this board!
