Good memories wasnt it CT. Leaner times makes it more memorable I do think. Doris sounds like somthing I would have done for sure. What dont kill us makes us stronger...... just like this surgery.

When we lived in South Carolina, we had some friends with 8 or 9 kids (never were quite sure how many - seemed like LOTS more!! ) They would start shopping about March for Christmas - hitting yard sales and flea markets and paying not a whole lot of cash for virtually unused high-ticket "must-haves" from the previous year. Of course, when you have so many children and live in a shoe, there's no place to hide them, so we...

I went to pick up my kids from my husband's cousin's house after I finished a 12 hr. shift. I haven't seen his cousin's since before surgery. She has a 14 yr. old son.... when I got out of the car he says," Aunt Esha ? Wow you're so skinny. Then he turned to my son and said," are you sure this is your mom?" I fell out laughing. i told him who else would I be? He was just so astonished. It did...

You did great. I also did pretty good at our family Thanksgiving. I had a little bit of dressing, ended up throwing most of it, I only got two bits from that. I then had about two T. of my sisters veg. salad, the salad was made very healthy for me to eat, and a little bit of mashed potatoes with gravy over it.And baked cabbage, about a 1/4 cup. I could not eat the goose becasue it was a wild canadian goose and it was so dry and I just could...

Thanks for sharing the pix! We, too, have spent some Thanksgivings with folks who have no place to go or family around. A couple of years ago we invited all the neighborhood widows/bachelors over, and it was so great. I've also been the invitee a few times by generous people who included me when I was far away from home and alone. It's very touching to be included in people's lives. May God bless you & Peanut for your...

Hi Deb, so glad your sugery went well. I know what you mean, the day I got home from the hospital I was shocked to find that I weighed about 17 pounds more than I did on the morning of surgery. I knew I had a lot of fluid on me from the IV's but didn't think it would be that bad. I am 12 days out from surgery and I feel great. I am probably going back to work next Friday. I haven't had any pain in the last week, I think I took...

They say that the hormones are stored in the fat so when we are in rapid weight loss phase it could be quite heavy. I went thru this myself. Was bad for quite some time.
Also please be careful too casue they say that us woman are very fertile after surgery.

Its about time for it to do that honey. About 45-60 pounds loss is when it rears its ugly head. Everyone had this happen. ON the up side no one notices it but you and your hairdresser.
