Happy Holidays vs Merry Christmas
Published (2009-11-08 18:55:00)
Lola - Yourthiness - We try to avoid religious debates here because of so many different types of faith represented. This is a touchy subject of personal conviction. For me, it's Merry Christmas, but to get a card with anything on it these days is a pleasure because several have stopped sending them. I still do, for now.

Marlene - hope that you are laying down with your leg elevated. That is what they told me. I am so sorry that it hasn't gone away. Had mine for several weeks - they were not sure what bit me but you could see the puncture wounds on my leg (either a spider or something else). Please let us know how you continue to do. So great to have a DH that tends to you like that - Send the rain our way - we need it.

It sounds good to me, too. I dislike priming, seems the brush is sluggish, drags, and just doesn't glide on as fast as regular paint. They have new paint now with the primer right in the paint. Are you using that? It may not be for sheet rock, though.

Oh my Carolyn - been there, done that. I didn't think I would ever reach 50 lbs. and as you can see by my stats, I am well past it. Not only decided Yes I CAn but decided Yes I Am Worth It. I am worth it for me and my health and never mind everyone else in the world. Don't believe it is as much self esteem as it is determination to be healthy.

Good morning.
Seems like a few of us (myself included) struggled with some temptations or variations in routine last week. Well, we need to put that in the past, to move forward. A new beginning.
That said, here's KC's question for today...
FROM KC:
Did you ever wonder about foods with a point value of zero? Are they too good to be true? ...

Cranberry Cat, I put a lot of time and love into Grandpa and Ol' Blue. It tells a story. I am going to have copies made for my siblings. I went back in and wrote the story.
Turkey Angie, I never worry about the kids and their licking their fingers while cooking. I don't worry about germs period. Spoken as a retired teacher.
Butternut Susan, I am ...

I get in my dairy by having lots of skim milk in my coffee/tea, sometimes a glass of milk in the evening, sf/ff pudding (I just made some using butterscotch pudding, 1 cup of pumpkin, and some pumpkin pie spice, milk of course)... And the other options, sometimes cottage cheese etc. In the summer, I do a lot of yogurt, especially Greek. ...
