I'm on vacation the week of Thanksgiving. The kids will have school for 3 days. I plan to go to a matinee one of those days before the holiday. The only shrieking should be me.

I wouldn't put it past any dog's prey drive to kick in over a small child or screaming baby. What about the lab puppy who killed the 6 week old - it was a puppy - that was prey drive - not aggression. I love my own dog, but he's a big dog and I have little kids. I think he knows them and can tell they are more valued around here than the cat, but he's a dog. If my dog killed my cat, I would have a hard time with it....
